Get well soon man. That really sucks.
Shit, I sure hope full use comes back to whatever nerves were damaged. It doesn't sound that bad nerve wise, though; sure looks bad and definitely hurts by the looks of it.
Do you get to keep it? If so, fix the door.
Do you get to keep it? If so, fix the door.
They did give me the handle back. No fucking way I'm fixing it though. My doctor walked into the room my parents were in and they start saying strange shit like they were going to take all the door handles off of every door in the house and he literally just walked back out. He walked in and straight back out. That made my day, and being really high on pain killers.
The man nurse at the hospital was a dick though and kept telling my to stop being a jerk about it when he was forcefully positioning my arm during x-rays. I wanted to punch him in the face.
I had the same thing happen when my lung collapsed about a year ago. The doctor had just put the chest tube in and I had to get up for x-rays. The male nurse was very impatient about me taking forever to get up and not moving my arm more then a few degrees due to the pain I was in.
He was loyal to the creed: [sp]GOTTA GO FAST[/sp]
Better make sure you beat the living fuck out of that door so it never tries any of that shit again.
And then drink it's blood to gain it's powers.
jesus christ, was your screen door handle sharpened or something? how is that even possible? thats not even slightly conceivable.
Impressive
what do you mean by "stronger stuff" are you on dilaudid or what?
Oh god. I don't even know how that happened but I cringed.
I too, am confused on how would that happen, It was not that sharp and a fast run to a door could not penerate the skin that bad. its like that was a heavy door and it closed fast on you. God, i don't even want to know how bad that feels. Get well soon.
Knock knock. Who's there? Nerve damage.
That thing looks like it's really dirty, have fun with the tetnus
Wow, thanks for breaking it to him easily, Doc.
Wow, thanks for breaking it to him easily, Doc.
Related? :v: Really though.. I still can't wrap my head around how you managed this.
The thread title was pretty clear about what happened. He was fucking the door handle, and he fell on top of it.

Hngg Oh god that looks painful.
what do you mean by "stronger stuff" are you on dilaudid or what?
medical heroin [editline]4th April 2012[/editline] jesus it looks like you got clamped
Holy fuck dude. You never asked for that.
Holy shit that is in your arm deep, will you make a full recovery? Can you recover from that nerve damage, and will your bicep be completely functional? This reminds me of when I was with my friends in the woods when I was younger. There was a fallen tree we were messing around on and I was running from the top of the tree down to the roots. I went to run through a bunch of leaves, little did I know there was a snapped off branch pointing straight at me. I ran straight into it and it left a 4 inch long gash across my chest while clothes lineing me onto my back. Fortunately I didn't break any ribs.
Holy shit that is in your arm deep, will you make a full recovery? Can you recover from that nerve damage, and will your bicep be completely functional?
They said that my bicep will be fully functional and actually somewhat stronger because of the rebuilding of the muscle fibers, but the nerve damage may be permanent.
How sharp is that door handle?! Aren't they usually blunt? Holy shit!
It is extremely blunt and I have no idea how it went into my arm. I think my arm tried to fit in between the handle and the door when it got snagged. Then the force of it snapping me back made it penetrate. Honestly, I have no idea.
the neighbor held up a cold rag to my head to keep me from going into shock.
Unless we're talking about hyperthermic shock that's not how it works.
you going to put the door handle back on the door?
Unless we're talking about hyperthermic shock that's not how it works.
I just used that as a term to generalize "passing out"
you going to put the door handle back on the door?
HELL NO
Wow the nerve damage is really tough luck. Must hurt 10 times worse than when it didn't hit the nerve too.
Wait, I'm still curious as to how the hell did that get lodged in your arm?
Dude can you move your fingers and stuff? My worst nightmare is being unable to do any kind of small hobby, like painting, computers, and so on. Also I like my fingers. I guess you can already tell. Get well!
Dude can you move your fingers and stuff?
I can move my fingers just fine, but when I touch something with my pinkie or ring finger on my left hand, it tingles sort of like pins and needles. I have about 25% feeling in those 2 fingers. I'm going to the doctor today, so I'll post a picture of the wound.
Sounds like your feeling might return to you, but probably not 100%. I have nerve damage by burning and it seems like it's still getting better although very slowly. You should ask your doctor how much of your feeling will return.
