Awesome, Foo Fighters and QOTSA are two of my favourite bands.
How did you just forget Led Zeppelin?
How did you just forget Led Zeppelin?
Maybe Led Zeppelin aren't one of his favourite bands?
They might as well have just called this a QOTSA album, there's nowhere near enough JPJ keyboards Still good though
Maybe Led Zeppelin aren't one of his favourite bands?
Thanks for clearing that up.
No, it still doesn't make any sense.
The album just arrived at my door! Oh god it's so much better when not raped by youtube!
How did you just forget Led Zeppelin?
Sorry, I've just never really listened to Led Zeppelin, so I dont know if I like them or not. Although I prefer Kyuss to QOTSA.
Can someone tell me.... IS THERE SOMETHING THAT JOSH FUCKING HOMMES CAN'T DO WITH MUSIC?! This man is a god. Best purchase I've made music wise since Liebe Fur Ala.
It's a really fucking good album. New Fang is also really fun to play on Rock Band, hope the rest of it makes it there sooner or later.
This record is an instant classic. I have tickets to see them and it will be wonderful. Everybody should buy a physical copy of this.
I gotta say, they sound a little boring. Supergroups can't usually pull it off, oh well.
Theres the live set from Reading on tv this fri night on british tv. I've no idea how to get it but isn't that wonderful?
You know, before I heard of these guys I was wondering what happened to the QOTSA album we were promised this year. I think this more than makes up for it. Definitely buying this album right away

Being the guy that never listened to QotSA, I must find this album very strange yet very addictive. Dead End Friends and Gunman have some pretty kickass riffs.
No kidding.. And the desert sessions and the self titled rerelease.
Wait, new Desert Sessions came out this year too? Shit, I've not been paying enough attention.
I really like the album, but I'm getting sick of good albums being ruined by being overly compressed to sound louder. We have volume controls on our stereos for a reason :argh:
Wait, new Desert Sessions came out this year too? Shit, I've not been paying enough attention.
No it didn't, in fact there isn't much talk for one as of yet.
Wait, new Desert Sessions came out this year too? Shit, I've not been paying enough attention.
No I meant we've been waiting for those two things to come too.
Ok,sorry for bumping an old thread but I was lucky enough to see them this week and can report their awesomeness first hand. The show was in an old ballroom so the sound was a little mushy but the band were A1. I think they played most of the record + one I didn't recognise. Grohl lived up to his name as 'the nicest man in rock' by dragging a young kid and his dad up on stage so they could watch from the side, what a genuinely nice man. The band were obviously loving the tour and the music. If anyone has tickets for this tour then lucky you, I can only look back.
Whoa Jimmy Page may be joining
Whoa Jimmy Page may be joining
Source, pls?? o.0!!
Whoa Jimmy Page may be joining
and then the world exploded
i don't believe that
i don't believe that
It's too good to be true, I don't want to raise false hope, for it then to be dashed away. It would be awesome though.
I gotta say, they sound a little boring. Supergroups can't usually pull it off, oh well.
Boring? This is one of the best supergroups I've heard.
These guys are the shit.
They're a bit average, to be honest. The guitar is good, but not nearly as much as I've heard before. The guitar seems to be repeating itself over and over again. While the rythym is nice, the sound of the song is just so mediocre. It doesn't have a special feature, or anything that sets it apart from the others, it just seems so bland. It isn't a slow, steady rythym or a fast, upbeat one. It seems more like a half-metalized folk song, without the added instruments. The drumming is quite similar to the guitar. It's just the same thing over and over again, without any real changes that make the drumming worth listening to. Sure, it's pretty nice at the start, but after that it just goes downhill. Is it just me, or does he use the cymbals alot? The vocals sound bad. They just lack anything that makes them good. So now I'm dumb for having an opinion?
OMFG I'm missing out!! I'ma check this out ASAP. I'm a huge fan of QOTSA :D Also... In that last pic, his look resembles the Ferrari look... or is it Blue Steel? lol
You should see BB King.
