People accomplish many things in their lives. Just because some things aren't accomplishments that make them famous or anything, doesn't make it a waste of time. If you think certain things are a waste of time, then to you they are, but to someone else they won't be. Everything is subjective.
I mean important You know what i mean Just look it in the eyes
what if other people had the same mindset as you?

No. Do you enjoy doing it? If Yes, is it legal? If yes, is it harmful? If no, go fucking nuts. Video games are fun, they are legal, and they're not harmful, so go fucking nuts.
time enjoyed wasted is not wasted time

Yes, video games are a waste of time. Like films, and music. I think they should be banned and everyone should just masturbate furiously in their spare time instead.
I learned a lot of things through the medium of video games A small insignificant thing I learned is what a Pestle & Mortar is, through Runescape :v:
of course they are a waste of time, what's why i play them everyone's quoting a cliche so i'll quote one too: what do we have besides time?
That's their entire purpose; to kill time. Most things done for entertainment are a waste of time, unless you're playing/watching an educational game/movie, or reading a book.
Can't you say that about anything? Everything is harmful in excess, though.
I'd rather be doing something else, but when I don't have anything to do then video games are the only option.
A fun one.
No. Video games have given me outstanding vocabulary and literary skills, wonderfully engaging stories, the inspiration to explore more, my passion for technology (and as a result, my choice in career path), great reaction times, and so much more I can't even begin to describe the ways video games have made me who I am. Had I never been involved in video games, I would definitely not be where I am today, so no; I do not believe they are a waste of time at all in the long run, as they've shaped my character (ha) to what I am today. I feel as though I've worded this very poorly, but video games have definitely defined and helped develop my life.

Videogames also promote logical thinking (depending on the game) but you're right, it does have many benefits.
I've learned a lot from playing video games, both online and single player. I've become significantly more social since I started playing video games too. Granted there is a point when you play too much and spend all of your time playing as opposed to hanging out with friends/going to work/etc etc
I have to go out and make money and prepare for my future and things such as that. I have all A's, I'm relatively intelligent, and I'm sociable. Am I wasting my time if I enjoy it? I feel it's hard to enjoy it now that someone has said that to me..
If this is your logic, then sports, art, music, movies and other such things are a waste of time too Besides, anyone who watches TV doesn't have a right to say videogames are a waste of time...
What is a waste of time? Anything we do wont matter so pretty much we are wasting time until we die.
I feel like it depends on the situation. If you could be doing something better, like hanging out with people or something useful and of benefit, then yes, its sort of a waste of time. If you got nothing else to do, then not really a waste of time... But I feel like MMO's are a huge and wasteful time killer. You get hooked to the game, drain a lot of time on it which I bet could have been directed into anything else better, and you achieve nothing but the growth of something virtual. I know it's the same for every other game, but MMO's just seem worse in that aspect. You then one day look at your character and think "all this effort could have been put into doing better things for myself"

They can consume a lot of time too, even though it may be less than an MMO. I've started playing Path of Exile and I love the game, and I feel like I can stop anytime. I mean I could be doing something else, but it's fun, and I realize now if I'm having fun, why should I change that? (Of course, still making time for my obligations)
Only if played in unhealthy amounts/addictive levels. You have to keep yourselves entertained or you go crazy. If you play a game for a hour or so, get amused again and then do something else, it's not a waste.
No and even if I'm wrong, I don't give a fuck.
Video games are a way to get away from all for me.
Video games are a way to get away from all for me.
Same. Nothing like coming home to your favorite game and some food after a long day. Also, I've noticed that videogames give people leadership skills. Whenever I'm put into a group in class, I'm usually the first one to take charge and suggest ideas. I used to be extremely shy, but now I'm not anymore. I guess I owe that to videogames too.
If Video games are a waste of time then by extension anything less than work/being productive would be a waste of time.
I'd say that video games are what you make of it. If you spend all day every day on video games and don't have a problem with it, then I guess it doesn't matter. Personally, I can't sit around all the time playing games anymore, I feel like such a bum when I do that. So yes, I feel like they can be a waste of time to me when I don't do anything else.
