Hold on there tiger. We're in a recession.
I doubt you'll be able to find a job at 14.
Move loans.
Why would you want to get a job when your only 14? I'm 14 too, and I do not want to get a job until I'm 16.
because as opposed to getting 10$ a week from chores ill get (taxes included) a minimum of 6.5-7 dollars an hour. maybe more.
Server hoster like your brother.

And you'll end up wearing yourself out years before you would otherwise.
Seriously, take Henry's advice and just hang out. If you really want money, take up the occasional lawn mowing job in the summer, but don't spend your free time at a job all the time.
I'm looking for most likely a minimum wage job, that's from a company that is willing to hire younger, more mature people. A hard job is fine, but nothing dangerous.
The fuck, I swear when I was reading it, it said
"A hand job is fine, but nothing dangerous."
Also, good luck finding a job,.
Just do a paper round, enough money at the end of the week and getting up early is good for routine. If you're in the UK, don't know how that works in the US.
There are no "real" jobs for 14 year olds. No one is going to hire you.
when I was 14, I distributed news papers, it was merely 2 times per week with a total of around 3 hours per week. I got like 40€ per month.
I didn't complain until they showered me with extra things I had to deliver alongside the news papers like folders. They earned me extra, but sometimes they were seperate whole news papers. I could not bring all of them on my bike and had to ride home a few times to refill news papers. I remember I used to do it at 2 hours in a day, but the extra shit made it like 5 hours. I found it annoying and couldn't work for 5 hours on a schoolday (the newspapers have to be done on one day) so I quit the job.
Getting a job here is pretty easy though. I'm sixteen and I could walk in a supermarket and ask for a job and get a 100€ per month with like 10hours per week or so. I can imagine it might not be the same in your country, so you'll have to ask around, especially family members. If one of your friend's parents own a supermarket or something, you could ask there.

they are called the little hoppers.
id assume the pay is terrible with little-to-no chances of building a "career"
I'm sixteen with GCSE qualifications and am currently studying in college, and I can't even find a part-time job. :ohdear:
You're 16 and you are in college?

If you're 14 you won't be getting anything more than a paper route or some odd jobs. I don't think it's even legal in most places to hire anyone under 16 in any official capacity.
Some small diners are willing to pay kids under the table to do stuff like washing dishes and whatnot, you could try that.
Come back in 2 years
I can be mature if I need to be. But this is the Internet. Truthfully I don't give a flying fuck what you think about me.
In the U.S it will be hard if not impossible to find a job at 14. There are some laws that limit the hours you can work and what times you can work between. But companies will not even consider it because they only hire people 18 years or older do to other standards. A lot of companies require you to be able to lift a certain weight, got to be 18 or older to operate heavy machinery and other tools.
Where the fuck do you live that has alcohol selling walmarts?
What Walmart have you been to that doesn't sell beer?
You're 16 and you are in college?
Well, I'm going to junior college in 2 years, I don't think that 16 is that young.

I know the rules, I've done some research.
Education > work
My sister recently got a job at 14 and I got a job back when I was 15. Here in the UK you have to get a work permit for a job while you're under 16 which is a bit of hassle.
Join my crew homie.
Sweat shop
If there's a Giant around you (grocery store), they start hiring at 14.
It's a shitty bagging assistance job at minimum wage but it worked for my friend when we were that age.
You're 16 and you are in college?
UK. EDUCATIONAL. SYSTEM.
ITS DIFFERENT.
You can start a optional tertiary education (college/sixth form) at 16 (after you've left high school, I started when I was 17 but that's only due to my date of birth and a late start).
Get a job where you have to kill yourself
Facepunch, you so silly.
Everyone always bitches at people who are about OP's age when they can't afford things to go get a job, and now that someone's actually trying to they're bitching at him for being too young.
:v:
OP is actually 40 some, parents finally made him get a job
I went to a youth centre last Spring and got a job as a community service. Me and the others started cleaning the city - picking grass from school stadium, cleaning the beach and setting up a huge wooden structure for a big bonfire for national traditional purposes and other stuff. We got 2 days off, worked for 4 hours a day and I personally earned 40 euros in 6 days.
It was actually awesome. Now I know why it sucks being a city cleaner because you put too much pressure to your back and also have a job experience with a copy of a job agreement contract as an evidence.
Why are you expecting this kid to "have the best time of his years" he's fourteen, and browsing facepunch, he probably wants a job so he can have an excuse to do something rather then play video games.
(ps he probably doesn't have many friends if any)
AFAIK:
You cant do work before 7AM
You cant do work after 16PM
Most businesses wont hire you for liability reasons
Your parent has to sign you in. EVERY FUCKING DAY
Paperboy
Or go round your neighbourhood and ask if they want their cars washed
mow alot of lawns
