I've never modeled before in my life!
This is pretty fun to play around with. I didn't make anything post-worthy, but I hope to do something else with it.

First time I've ever tried my hand at modelling something, too. I'm very, very pleased with the results. Personally I think I did a great job with my alien.
What is it?
Lamprey breast? *shudders* [editline]05:18PM[/editline]
air plane
Would have made more sense to use Nitrogen, but it works regardless. I don't suppose most people would know the percentage composition of air on Earth anyway.
Lamprey breast? *shudders*
:ohdear:
It doesn't look anything like Lamprey breast.
Well, that's just like your opinion, man.
Pretty much all i can do on this
Every time I start this up and click once my display driver explodes. fuck this laptop.
I made Mikfoz.
I made Mikfoz.
That looks great! Adding to OP.

seems like you're pants are safe, as far as I can tell there is no animation...for now at least
I got my weird blob working in GMod. Too bad it lost most of its details in the optimize process (the Source engine simply can't handle too many polygons).
You can use a phong map to make it appear smooth  If you want more info, google it.
Seems awesome, although, why do all of the models have seems on them? Is that a mirroring error or something?
thats the line of symmetry, you can turn it off
thats the line of symmetry, you can turn it off
No you can't. It crashes.
No you can't. It crashes.
I can turn it off just fine.
the first version didn't symmetry crash for me.
No you can't. It crashes.
Just create a new sphere, it doesn't start with symmetry.
Made this a few hours ago. It has a metric fuck ton of triangles.
I don't know what it is. But I did call it the skull creature. :v:
Made this a few hours ago. It has a metric fuck ton of triangles. [img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/alot1.jpg[/img_thumb]
Often models reach over 300,000 tris in this program. If you want to reduce the tri-count, see my video tutorial in the OP.

I tried to make a spider, but it didn't work very well. Also, the end of that material needs anti-aliasing to be good.
Edited the normal map.
