Bought Castlevania Curse of Darkness when i was kid (around 2007)
Empire: Total War in 2010.
I don't remember, but it was probably a Wii game.
F.3.A.R., 2011, PC. I really regret that.
Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy in June last year. I like to get retail copies of games I pre-order. It makes buying games exciting again for a brief moment before I pop it in ready to play and have to deal with an installation and day-one update. [editline]a[/editline] The one before that was RE7 in the same pre-order situation but any further back and we're getting into "at the mall, bored, saw a pre-owned PS3 game and decided to play it" territory because everything else is PC and/or digital.
I can't recall the game but it was a fps game. And it was for the original xbox.
GTA V for the PS3 in 2013
Starcraft legacy of the void, and i still regret it. (tho it was an online store so it doesn't count)
Majora's Mask for 3DS, last year. I asked the person behind the counter if they had it, and they actually had to go look for it in the back, since apparently the production of them had already been discontinued. :v:
Cs:source asked for csgo disk version from the cashier when i was kid and i got css instead wait.. thats a year ago
Halo 4 for the Xbox 360 the day it came out, was mildly disappointed.
I think it was Kirby and the Rainbow Curse for the Wii U. It was on clearance for 15 dollars.
Skyrim Special Edition on December 27, 2017 It was cheaper there than Amazon for once, so I figured why not?
The Last Remnant via Amazon. At the time, Square-Enix was charging $50 on Steam whereas a European install disk was $16
The Witcher 3, two weeks before they announced GotY edition. I bought W1 and W2 for full prices (79PLN, around $20) right after their release, but W3 was 2x more expensive (159PLN, almost $45) so I had to wait for some discount for basic game and addons (they had physical release too but were scarce and got no discount, and they costs as much as W1 few months after release). Funny that TW3 was the most expensive from them yet had the thin game box compared to TW1 and TW2, :s:
Odyssey on day 1, and before that sun/moon day 1.
plants vs zombies garden warfare for xbox one. it was at Walmart on black friday 2015 nowadays i just get games on steam
Bought Pokemon Soul Silver preowned from CEX back in probably 2011
Back in 2013 when GTA5 first came out, I went to Best Buy with my dad and got a copy. Real piss away of $60 that turned out to be.
Zoo Tycoon at a thrift store last week.
Splatoon 2 about a month ago.
I think it was Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance the day it came out back in 2013. I remember going to get the game and the clerk at Gamestop said it was terrible and that I'd return it later that day. I came back a week later and he got excited thinking I was returning it. He looked crushed when I told him the game was actually fantastic and that I just wanted to buy a new controller.
Dragonball Xenoverse 2 for Switch
Dragonball Xenoverse 2 for Switch
You forgot to state when, hombre.
I think it was Spore. also known as the last game I ever purchased based on hype and without doing proper research on what it actually ended up being, so in that respect it was educational.
I bought splatoon 2 last month. prior to it, i got Starcraft+broodwar, Doom 3 and sonic Mega collection for PC at a CEX store on a trip to london back in october
At an actual store? Oh man -that would be Need For Speed 3 Hot Pursuit. On my birthday, so August 2nd, 1998. You can tell that I'm old by the way that it is. :v:
Elite Beat Agents, second hand. Was some time in November, I think.
Probably when I was a wee child. LAst standalone game I remember buying in a store was Jeff Gordon XS Racing. Or maybe it was NASCAR Thunder 2k3? I forget which, both were at the same time and it was an eon ago. It wasn't long after that I discovered people had put full games on KaZaA, and I didn't...ahem...recover from that mindset until well into the 'Just buy it on steam for 95% off lol' era. Last physical game I bought? Fallout 4 PBE. Got them off Amazon. Before that, I did end up with a copy of GT6 from the gamestop next to my walmart, but that was bundled in with a PS3 that I bought, so I 'spose it's an honorable mention but not why I was in the store.
Somehow I got lucky and the store gave me a preorder version of Halo Reach with the free exclusive variant of the Recon helmet... at least 3 to 6 months after the game was already released :excited:
