[t]http://img.alibaba.com/photo/402023923/Parker_fountain_pen.jpg[/t] Those Parker fountain pens are really nice, casual pens. They are fairly cheap and handle very good for their price. Their biggest drawback is their durability, they're quite fragile (like most fountain pens, anyway).
Yeah I've used these pretty much all my life. The worst thing is lending it to someone without thinking about it, then you get it back and the nib is bent and split to shit because they press too hard against the paper. Must have gone through like 50 in my lifetime. But they're so cheap it doesn't really matter, can pick them up for like £6-8 in WH Smiths
Huh, funny this thread should pop up, I'm actually in the market for getting a yellow pen. Mind you not a pen that has yellow ink, but rather a yellow colored pen. It's surprisingly difficult to find a decent priced one on them world wide webs, unless I want to get 250 of 'em for like 90 dülars. Them Lamy safaris are nice... But all I need is a cheap clicky pen for pete's sake. Curses!

Buy a converter and a ink bottle and it would last you a good year and a bit. But if you want a cheap replaceable one then some Japanese companies make tons of randomly coloured pens at like 2 dollar per pen (pilot) try and find it at a bookstore/stationary store etc
I miss www.penisland.com Pen Island was great.

You're probably spending too much time switching through colors then.
I got the Sailor 1911 whatever (I don't actually know) that the OP mentions for a Christmas gift a couple years ago. I knew the nib was gold, just not that much gold. Cool. I should write with it more. Mostly I use a nikko finepoint for writing. [IMG_thumb]http://www.edsco.com.au/spnet6/img/A/M/1/3/0/AM-1301.jpg[/IMG_thumb] It gets ink everywhere and the tip at the end wears down because it isn't metal and I press down to hard, so they don't last long for me. [editline]april[/editline] Although the ink from my fountain pen usually gets everywhere because I hate it when the ink gets on the area of the nib surrounding the point of the pen so I try and wipe it off :v: it never ends well.

I think you will enjoy it plenty just find a good ink!

I fear mine spends far too much time in the box.
I just wish I was better at writing cool, because it is a pretty great pen. It fixes a lot of bad pen habits and soon you will have fluid amazing running writing!

But now that I think about it I made my "f"s look really cool from all the note taking I've done. It slowly evolved over time to what it is now. Mostly because I didn't like how they looked so I focused on changing them. I suppose I just have to do it with every letter then.
the video was very informational. but how do they make ballpoint pens?

Later you find that your writing will have flourishes without thinking about it and you be writing extremely fast. I will soon post some calligraphy tutorials videos as soon as I can find some good ones here. [editline]27th April 2013[/editline]
the video was very informational. but how do they make ballpoint pens?
Ballpoint pens don't require that much craftmanship in comparison to fountain pens that's why its not really explained.

What's the name of the pen that's like a couple of grand and has diamonds on it? I recall some lad in college telling me he had one - he's rich as fuck.
I have a super-nice pen I got for graduation that was made of gold and stuff, had a granite stand etc. but I think I forgot it at my parents' house when I moved out. ...2 years ago.
I really like fountain pens. I have this: [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/lofazPh.jpg[/img_thumb] Nothing fancy. The entire build is plastic aside from the nib which is metal. I'd love to own one with swively art all over it. Refillable ink. Only downside is their tendency to get ink all over my fingers. I don't use it a lot but whenever I write something by hand I use this.
I have one of these pencils, they are fairly expensive but also the best god damn pencil I have ever used. It's a Rotring 600.
My handwriting is terrible and scrawly. Also, I think I hold my pen wrong. Rather than resting on my middle finger, the pen rests on my ring finger.
The Pentel TRJ50, I love it.
My small collection: (Will likely get a nice ballpoint over the summer to add to it) [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/64514745/2013-04-27%2010.13.10.jpg[/t]
How about pen dancing?
Doesn't say it's felt tipped, but I think it is I love these pens, the only problem is that the tips seem to either sink into the pen over time or grind off as I write with them, I'm not really sure which. They aren't exactly lasting pens in that regard.
My daily use pen is a Pilot G-2 07, which is very common, but on special occasions I'll break out my Pilot Precise V5. Damn that is a nice pen. Sharp-looking, too.
