My Steam name, Talon Pandemonium came from this book. The main character is called Talon Pandemonium. It's my favorite graphic novel.

i used to love these animations so much
10/10 bro
(not) Basically, my surname with a bunch of letters removed from the middle, last two letters of the surname still kept, one O letter switched to A because it sounds cooler. Gvazdas.
I kept it because anyone who's not Lithuanian/Russian/Ukrainian/Baltic can't pronounce my name. It's good fun on Teamspeak/Mumble.
Keel was a nickname I was given by a friend. I'm not entirely sure about the Mobeel part but I think that was just me being silly.
Years ago, I was making an account for Pokemon Crater, and I had to make a username. Since I didn't have any in mind, I did the thing I did to get my Battle.Net name: type a bunch of random letters, backspace some shit, and see what I get. It then stuck with me ever since.
"Berkin" is a name I invented for a story character when I was about five years old. It now use it for almost all my accounts on the net.
Well rather than my FP username (because that's just my name), I'll say how I got my steam name: Dr. Matt.
Many people believe it's because I'm a Doctor Who fanboy but it's actually due to the fact I like to help people, hence the Dr - and Matt is my name of course, hence - Dr. Matt.
When I was playing Spiral Knights the first time, I named my toon Nerokhan. That name stuck with me since then.
Season 1 Pony Finale.

Also known as BWO Josh - with that tag it's because my name is Josh and I used to go to the BlackWaterOps website a lot.
I didn't use my imagination when making a fp account.
let's see... it was a dark and scary time for me at the age of 13... i thought it would be a good idea to add the first half of my last name in a username... also the devil. intense satanism.
I used 'devlkiller0' as my runescape name when I made it a long time ago. Spelt it the same way as you did with no i
I was thinking up a name for an aran character I was making in Maplestory, so I used "Aran" at the start, and the "domu" part was just kind of something I added so that I could create the character, as "Aran" was already taken. The name sounded pretty good, much better than my previous name, so I stuck with it.
Yea, pretty lame backstory.
was browsing youtube many moons ago and came across this real shitty crunk core band named rediscover. i of course was going through my scenie weenie phase cause of middle school or whatever and was like 'yeah thats good' and stole their name
I used to play the Rainbow Six games with my dad when i was 6 or 7. My Dad used the name Psycho since it was the name he used in Laser Tag when he was a teenager, I was known as LittlePsycho. As time passed by i changed my name to just Psycho. The 9182 is there because when making an account on most sites Psycho is already taken so i add the 9182.
-snip-
its my real name IRL i had it changed a few months back because the mainstream naming system is too mainstream
Used the random name generator in World of Warcraft Friends and Family Alpha back in 2003 came up with Zargeros used it on a warlock and then dropped the s after a few weeks.
Use it for pretty much everything now as its pretty unique and only seen one other person with it.
got the nickname in AIT when we accidentially stepped in a beehive and the bastards completely ignored me.
The short and sweet I usually say is that "It was a joke with mates at LAN" but let's go all story mode on your asses.
I had this best friend and his name was "Eugene". He hated it, so he always called himself "Eug". There was another guy nearby, he was Prussian or something. Anyway, his grandmother couldn't speak English properly and when she asked what Eug's name was, she repeated the name and said "Pi-gee-on?".
Because of that, we'd play at LANs and Internet Cafes with names like Pigeon 1 and Pigeon 2 and this became a regular thing with stupid names. Another friend that we knew lived in a big apartment complex with a pool, which was amazing to us as kids so we'd regularly be around there and there was this poor 'mentally undeveloped' kid who when we asked who his name was, we were told it was just "wally". We'd (Well really, I would) say hello and he'd stick his tongue lazily out the side and wave his middle finger at us back and forth making a zombie like groan (In hindsight, I figure because we were insulting him by calling him wally).
Anyway, Wally2k and Wally3k was born. I kept mine because it stuck for whatever reason and added a few grammatically incorrect capital letters because why not, I was 10, fuck you.
Stole the name from a fake newspaper horoscope columnist, a wizard named Dr.Monumbo. A reference to Cabin Fever.
i love rabbits and my nickname is usagi
i misspelled mine
I honestly don't even remember anymore, except that it somehow related to the fact that it rhymes with "you be nice"
My steam name, though, popped up because I played as a spy a lot in TF2, but then just dead ringer'd and refused to disguise. Battle Spy.
When I was in 4th grade I was trying to come up with a name for Pokemon Crater (now called Battle Arena or something, I've stopped playing it years ago) that wasn't taken. I decided my best course of action would be to make up a name and put some numbers on the end for good measure, because all the best internet names had numbers on the end. I looked to my lunch box for inspiration. Inside it was a juicebox of Hi-C and a Dole fruit cup. Put the two together with the number 555 and voila, Hidole555.
If I could change it, I would.
A long time ago, my brother frequently called me 'nerd'. I tried to make it my username on some account or something, but it was already taken. So I tried 'nerdster', yet that was taken.
So I though it would be a good idea to add numbers to the end of it; Everybody was doing it. But which number?
Then I remembered a popular cleaning product in the USA:

And it worked.
I hit my face on a keyboard a few times
I was tired and couldn't be arsed to think of one. So I searched "cool usernames" on google. Most of them was shit like "super guy" or "the best". Saw this one, liked it, had it.
Yes, I am creative...
Long ago, there was a time when I went though Several different (terrible, and unoriginal) nicknames in a short period of time until I decided to make one trully "mine", "original", so I ended up simply smashing my keyboard, removing a few letters, adding a few vocals.. The result was "Malvodion".
I got sick of the nickname pretty quickly, but by that time most people knew me by this name, so I ended up keeping it.
