AITE, Back to the usernames, this one was a bit dynamic, so bare with me. I'm sitting at home, playing second life, with no real first life under my belt. Was dicking about in a role play sim, and an amazing idea popped into my head. "WHY NOT PLAY AS A GHOST HUR HUR" - So thus I began this super fucking elaborate story as to how my character died, and why he stayed as a ghost. It was more to be an event character for this Role Play Simulator, but then it became sort of a big deal later on, more on that in a bit. I make my character, and go through a list of names. One name was offered by a friend 'Koya' - and I was like "That's so fucking Meta" - Then I nabbed it. Later on, I did a bit of shit-search and found THIS bad boy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6Il58Ln4cI Freaking my shit, I decided that I'd be keeping this name for a long while, as it suited me in every way, also with the name ' Koya ', I deranged that Koya either meant Life, or 'Out of balance' as given by the artist Phillip Glass, the composer of Koyaanisqatsi. So basically it boiled down to their 'Life Ghost' or 'Crazy Ghost' - I like Crazy. (Koya Ghost --> Crazy Ghost) HANG ON, KEEPS GOING. One day in school, teachers were like "Do any of you have nicknames?" and being the tard I was back in Sophmore Year, I was like "KOYA!" - Every one looked at me kind of silly, and teacher asked me what it meant, thinking it was a racial slur. I gave the phillip glass lecture and they all bought it. I eventually added 'Ghost' at the end and it stuck. So people would literally yell my 'handle' out at me on school grounds, teachers too. Mind you, this was a Technical Academy, so this was actually somewhat normal, despite I was the first to do it at Lakeview~ And it's stuck to about everything I do since then, because it's a cool name, and was a nickname for a while. This story might be slightly autistic, but I'm ok with that. I AM KOYA GHOST. AHUEHFUEHA.
my name is josh smith, i was 10 when i made this username and stuck with it ever since
WoW-main, which i created on a whim back in 2007 when pokemon ruby/saphire were a cool thing [editline]28th January 2014[/editline] i also love lucarios so stop asking me in PMs
I used to be called Minifig, then Fireguy, and then one day I went: "I want something new" And I became Katatonic.
"Quade" is a slang my friends and I use for someone we don't like.
Mine is from back in 2011, when I had to choose a username for Minecraft. Just colors I liked, I guess. Interestingly, I didn't even know about the whole Sly Cooper series back then, but then I found out that, coincidentally, Sly almost always has gray+blue on him...
I'ts the English version of my original username which is melvinde2e. It is my first online username and i used it for runescape. Melvin is my name and de2e sounded medieval. I used different usernames but always kept de2e at the end of every name. I used melvinde2e on fp, but i got insta banned because someone was perma banned on my schools ip. So i decided to use melvinthe2nd instead.
I was really into Call of Duty when I signed up for Facepunch. My name reflected my plays style in CoD which which was fast paced, close quarters combat. So my name was Close Quarters Battle Cat. It's lame (I mean REALLY lame) in hindsight and I've thought about changing it, but dunno if I'll lose any recognition on the forum if I go by another name.
I used to use GenStonedMad as a username because my dad uses Stoned_Mad in online games. When I got a Xbox 360 my dad, my brother, and I were sharing an account and Stoned_Mad was already taken. My dad was a general in Battlefield 2 at the time so we used GenStonedMad. In late 06 I joined facepunch as GenStonedMad but only a few months later I completely forgot the password. Rather than retrieve the lost password I decided to make my own username, and at the time I though Roman mythology was amazing (I was right). Janus is basically the Roman version of Jupiter, only more badass, and Vesta is the Roman goddess of hearth and home. Sadly a few games with language filters prohibit me from using Janus Vesta for 'restricted language' or some shit. In those cases I usually use the name Vesta Cruiser, a combination of Vesta and Vista Cruiser. Also if a game for some reason already has a Janus Vesta I tend to go with Janus Vesta Cruiser, just to be awkward. And like everyone else I had some terrible usernames in the past such as 'Razor' and to my great shame 'XboxBoy'. I was young and dumb, it still haunts me to this day.
don't know. my original '06 account was mac_daddy123 or something but the forum wipe killed it because my computer broke and I was inactive :(
My name is from the Swedish word "Strövare" you could ruffly translate it to "Walker" but since most of English sites docent have Ö it just become Strvare
I was born and named Paul-Simon, and I'm not terribly creative.
I honestly don't know. My first AIM screenname was Morpha7 from the boss in Zelda Then it was ClintEastwoodYo, probably because I thought those westerns were cool Then BreakfastBuddy had a longer story. I used to meet this girl everyday at breakfast before class. We had mutual friends and stuff but we were the only ones with an 8 am. So one day I dropped out of that class and switched, and just stopped going to breakfast without telling her. She got really upset and said "I thought we were breakfast buddies!!" I replied by saying "oh, darling, I will ALWAYS be your Breakfast Buddy" then I made every account since then BreakfastBuddy thinking about changing my FP name to that also, but I've had this since 2005...
When I can't come up with a character name/handle, I tend to use Homestar Runner names and references. My username is the default player name in the game 50k Racewalk on Homestar Runner.
Wanted to use a german name to let the people know, that im from germany. Unfortunately the first thing people asking me is "Are u german?" However... I used the name which my brother always used on the internet ("rotzlöffel").
A long time ago i played alot of COD , And i needed a name, then the people in my clan suggested shit, and someone said Feexy sounded ''Dope'' :suicide:
My name backwards + Player. I'm sure I've been using this name on the internet for nearly a decade now.
Back when Halo 2 was popular, I'd go over to a friend's house to play (since I didn't own an original xbox). One of his profiles was called "Pvt. Parts," and the right side of its emblem looked suspiciously like a penis (not relevant, but it was the most hilarious thing ever at the time). Some time later, I remembered that profile when I was thinking of my own username. I decided to stick with the military rank/name pun combo thing.
i dont even watch boxing, why did i even pick this name
You'd have to ask me in 2001. RuneScape was the biggest thing in the third grade.

I was young and attempting to sign up on LEGO.com. Whatever name I had wanted was taken, so this was one of the random suggestions. I've stuck with it since.
It is an abbreviation for QUeer Intersex Lesbian Transgender Bisexual Asexual Gay. Of which I am none of those things. It was just a word that appeared in a reddit thread and I had no other ideas. [Editline]let's the waste of my battery life[/editline] I suppose my other usernames may (dis)interest some people. I did have the username Doubledare33 on Runescape because 33 was my favorite number, and I loved daring kids to do stupid shit. A couple of years after that, I started using the name Seth Goldenblood, which was Fire Emblem's Seth + something from a random name generator. I stopped using that after an incident in sevenrh grade that makes me cringe thinking about it. My Steam name, iwantapiefordinner, is based off my actual thoughts one December night. Footnote: pies are delicious. I have quite a few usernames.
My name is David. The numbers are random.
It was given to me when I was born.
If it turns out he's faking it i'm gonna be so fucking mad
i don't think he's fake, he's posted from several dynamic IPs that are located in... Kuwait!
Well I was young and wanted a unique handle for my online games, before on the home consoles(N64, PS2) I just used my name, but I didn't want to go by that on this new thing called the "internet." So there I was, sitting in the living-room watching my brother play the new Mortal Kombat, he was perusing through the character screen when he passed over "Cyrax." I just knew I liked the sound of this name, but I didn't want to just plagiarize the name of someone else for my own, so I sat there at the coffee table for what felt hours thinking of a name. But I really liked the sound of it. So I threw out the R Changed the C to an S And tossed in an I for good measure Of course this changed the pronunciation a bit. I also tossed in SIR at the front for a formal twist. So now I had SirSiyax, I intended for it to sound like "Ss-I-Ax" but grammatically it looks like "See-Ax" so between everyone(or rather myself) mispronouncing or misspelling it, most just end up calling me "Sir." Which I now liken more to a name rather than a title.
I like Nostradamus's quatrains. Mabus was also the name of my super Villain on City of Villains, when it existed.
