I kinda hate the flash on my camera because it makes relatively hard shadows and doesn't really work for a big distance. What kind of flashes do you use / would you recommend?
get a flash diffuser or bounce it off of something [editline]1[/editline] found this on google: http://www.digital-photography-school.com/8-on-camera-flash-tips-how-to-get-better-lighting-from-your-on-camera-flash
Since I only have the built in flash I was asking for advice what kind of flashes you use because I think I don't get to far with the built in flash.
I understand, I just think that you should make the best of what you have before you decide to invest in an external flash. if money is no issue then by all means look into getting one if you want. what camera do you have?

Is the Canon 600D good for a starter photographer like me? I'm making quite some pictures with my iPhone and the quality is good but yeah something like a SLR is of course far better then that. I can get it for 550 Euro (Rate agree if you think its a good choice)
Is the Canon 600D good for a starter photographer like me?
personally I would go for the T2i/550D. that's about 90 euros in savings that you can put toward a lens, a battery grip, or whatever else.
Sony alpha 55v [editline]af[/editline] I looked at some flashes on a swiss online shop and they have flashes in the price range from 80 CHF to 700 CHF. Rather than buying something that is just as good as my current flash or worse for cheap I would like to get something that is a good improvement but isn't exactly the thing with the highest pricetag
Sony/Minolta invented a proprietary hotshoe that is not compatible with other companies. just do a search on ebay looking for a used one, just search something like "alpha hotshoe flash".
Where would be the best place to sell camera equipment (Well mainly a 550D + lenses) aside from the obvious eBay? Tried Gumtree but all responses so far are scammers.
keh and fredmiranda are typical suggestions
do the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 and Canon 85mm f/1.8 cover a good range for walk-arounds on an APS-C sensor camera? probably subjective but I'd just like to hear a couple of opinions

I have used one indoors on my T2i and I didn't feel limited. You also have that big aperture so even in low light you won't have to rely on a flash to get a sharp picture. The 85mm will be about 140mm with the crop factor which is good if you need a little extra distance if you can't walk right up to your subject. Like you said though this is all gonna be opinion based, some people like zoom lenses others like fixed lenses. I would prefer having both.

make sure you REALLY advertise the product right, otherwise you won't make as much. for instance i just sold a minolta 7000 with an oily 50mm lens for $40, i could have sold the lens for at least $60 alone.
Meh... Doesn't look like it has much to offer. The 6FPS is pitiful.
The 5D MK III isn't for sports, the 1Dx is. 6FPS is also not bad. The main things with the 5D MK III is the updated autofocus, and (probably) improved ISO noise.
6FPS is also not bad.
I'd expect more for the price, to be honest. I get 10FPS with my Sony A55, and that's just an enthusiast-entry camera. [editline]7th March 2012[/editline] On the other hand I suppose the better processor lets you shoot continuously for a longer time without the que slowing down.

Not to mention that yours has a translucent mirror which doesn't have to flip up for each frame. (not trying to bash, just clearing things)

Well I tested out my 24mm f2 FD lens and it doesn't stop down. don't know what to do. Performance wide open seems good idk about landscapes though
Should I get a Sigma 50mm Macro or a EF 50mm Macro + Life Size adapter? I am thinking about the Sigma 50mm because it's small and it can take photos at life size proportions without needing external adapter. Any other thoughts?
Here's a busted folding camera that I converted to a lens:

Just bought a Canon nFD 24mm f/2.0 and a FD 200mm f/2.8SSC for 150 euros. How peculiar i see a 24mm f/2.0 so fast. I am looking forward to getting them  [editline]17th March 2012[/editline]
Should I get a Sigma 50mm Macro or a EF 50mm Macro + Life Size adapter? Any other thoughts?
The Canon 50mm compact macro is considered as Canon's sharpest 50mm around. But it's very old and cannot do life size without the converter that costs quite a lot to buy seperate. The AF isn't that fast too, but for macro that isn't really important as you will do a lot with MF anyway. The MF ring is same with the first version EF lenses, and is somewhat gritty. The sigma 50mm is somewhat newer (1998), and the AF is comparable with the Canon. It doest 1:1 without any converters and that is very nice because this way it is cheaper than the canon. Some reviews you can base your decision on: http://www.fredmiranda.com/reviews/showproduct.php?product=133 (sigma 50mm 2.8 macro reviews) http://www.fredmiranda.com/reviews/showproduct.php?product=45 (canon 50mm 2.5 macro reviews) And here is another review on the Canon 50mm compact macro(scroll down): http://emedia.leeward.hawaii.edu/frary/toolbox5.htm Sorry for the late response, but i guess it's better late than never. I hope it helps you out.
Anyone know their camera gear well? I need to price some things to sell.

I have a bad addiction of taking apart stuff that is broken just to see if it is fixable and how it got messed up in the first place... Help me!
