It should have a pentacon 50mm lens but they have a lot of problems, so it has a Fuji lens instead.
I'll also include a new battery, and my cut down mini manual. and I may as well throw a roll of film in as well
How about £20 including postage
Wow, yes I'd love it, thankyou! Although I did bid on a Pentax ME super which ends in 40 minutes, if I lose (which is a large possibility) I'll buy that from you, Paypal I assume?

Paypal of course its the easiest way.
Ok I got outbid, I'll take the praktica assuming it's in perfect working condition! PM me your paypal and I can pay you the £20 tomorrow early morning.
Just missed out on http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nikon-D3000-18-55-VR-Kit-/290712205726?pt=UK_CamerasPhoto_DigitalCameras_DigitalCameras_JN&hash=item43afcc399e&autorefresh=true#ht_500wt_1202, it was a really good deal. Shame.

The praktica works as well as all of my other cameras, sadly I can't find the manual.
I just bought a Minolta 28-135 f4-4.5, aka "the secret handshake"
God I have 4 minolta bodies, there's a problem with all of them lol. But idk what to do with 3 of them, gotta eBay a lot of gear again blahhh
It's not fun when things are worth under $10
So I've got a Canon 28mm f/1.8 and a Tamron SP Di 90mm f/2.8.
I feel like I've got an odd couple here but I've made it work thus far. Perhaps I'm missing out on certain compositions though and I'm contemplating getting a Canon 50mm f/1.4. I thought about the Sigma but I've had a couple Sigmas in the past and I'd rather not chance it with their poor QC.
Thoughts?
Alright, do you think a tripod would be a good idea for me? I have a tendency to twitch my hand very finely but enough to screw the entire picture. That makes it near impossible for shots without any blur.
Tripods are a good idea for everyone
I think David Tennant should take note of this.
I need some help, were would I be able to sell old cameras and equipment?
These specifically:

The Nikon doesn't work, however I don't think it's unfixable.
Other than the Nikon, however, everything else is in excellent condition, just needs a good cleaning.
I'd love to keep these and use them myself, but unfortunately they would just be too expensive to run for us currently.
Full list of the what we have:

How much for the Konica 40mm? And I'd say eBay without a doubt
How much for the Konica 40mm? And I'd say eBay without a doubt
Checking eBay, it seems that nothing is really selling unless you put it up for dirt cheap.
And if you want it, once we figure out what to post them at I'll give you a link to the eBay auction for it.
Over the next week we're going to look around and what good prices are for everything, because currently we don't have a very good idea what they are worth.
There is a chance that I'll be sending a Yashica TL Electro to David Tennant (Not the actor). Would it be worth the postage from Florida to Bradford, UK?
I'm sure the postage would be insane, so it would no doubt be cheaper for him to get one from here.
I cannot make decisions when it comes to buying new gear. I've been trying to decided what lens and microphone for the past few months.
But how can anyone be even half as far decided to gear more look like?
Hey guys, I was wondering what's the point of owning pancake lenses besides the fact that they're cheap, light, and small. Is there any other advantage to them?

They can also be fun to shoot with due to the usually wide, fixed focal length, forcing you to move to get your desired composition, and focusing is easy/quick.

All of those are huge advantages
The Pentax 40mm pancake is one of the best lenses they've ever made
Ah, I'm interested in buying the announced Canon 40mm pancake lens just for fun since I only have a Sigma 50mm f1.4 which is huge as hell. A little change in size would be nice :).

Damn.
My flashgun is fucking powerful, I totally didn't expect it to be able to burn paper - I thought that was just a joke. Also I'm pretty impressed at the delivery, it came this morning but it only shipped at 5pm last night, I guess the seller on amazon don't piss about, and neither do DHL.

they're sharper, and they usually are in the "fast aperture" category and function better in low light. if you meant in terms of on your camera and not just in your bag.

When people use the term "fast lens" does it refer to it being fast at taking shots/focusing? Or that the aperture is very large (f/2.8 or higher)? I think it means that it has a large aperture but then how does that mean it's fast?
You're right indeed
ads might use "fast lens" to describe their focusing speed though but that's a different issue
Oh I see, thanks for explaining, large aperture means more light can enter the sensor therefore you can use a faster shutter speed (without increasing ISO) and without your image being underexposed.
One other thing, why does changing the focal length on a 'zoom' lens require different aperture, for example, why do you have to shoot at f/5.6 at 55mm if the lens can go down to f/3.5 at 18mm?
Is it due to the more light being directed into your sensor from the long lens (more concave?) and therefore you need to compensate by using a smaller aperture?
I may be asking a little too many questions here but, if you're in a low light situation but wish to retain a faster shutter speed for reasons, would it not make for a better quality photograph if you used exposure compensation on the camera rather than increasing ISO and therefore increasing noise, or does exposure compensation have it's own unpleasantries?
It deals with the size of the lens and glass. I believe it is a ratio for how long the lens is and how big the glass is. So f1 on a 50mm long lens would have a 50mm lens elements. Pretty sure this is the case.
Basically what that first paragraph of the second quote above. The aperture changes size as the length of the lens increases. Kind of confusing, but usually constant apertures don't change size much, and focus internally
