The Road, for christ's sake!
[editline]18th November 2010[/editline]
I also found Piglet's Big Movie and Tigger's Movie to be pretty emotional, maybe that's just me..
The Road
District 9
Up
Shawshank Redemption
The Pursuit of Happiness
Click, I really can't think of any other movie.
The Truman Show
In case I don't see you; good morning, good evening, and good night!
:swoon:
1. Toy Story 3
2. Click
3. My Sisters Keeper (Not a huge fan of the film, but my god its emotional)
4. Donnie Darko (Just the ending, with Mad World playing as it shows all the characters)
5. Harry Potter: The Half Blood Prince (DUMBLEDORE!)
Oh, and Up.
5.District 9
4.Saving Private Ryan
3.The Green Mile
2.Forrest Gump
1:Schindler's List
Did anyone mention butterfly effect. Really loved the first and second one. Only way to save your friends is to kill yourself. :(
A lot of people are saying 3:10 to Yuma, but what part was emotional, exactly? When [sp]Dan dies?[/sp]
I would have to say...
Up
Forrest Gump
Click
And I cry a fuckton every time I watch Pokemon: The First Movie, because after I watched it for the first time, my parents announced they were getting a divorce
Toy Story 3 was sort of emotional for me in a personal sense, I felt like I was finally saying goodbye to my childhood. Until you know I saw toy story 1 again and I was like "YAYYYYYY!"
In all seriousness though, I thought bigfish was really emotional. Same for Iron Giant...Vin Diesel saying "Dead?" in that robotic voice made me really think about death and how fucked up the world is sometimes when I was kid. Masterpiece of a movie I say.
Ghostbusters
1. The Boy in the Striped Pajamas
2. Gran Torino
3. Bicentennial Man
4. Toy Story 3
5. The Shawshank Redemption
edited list
I can't really think of 5 but I remember Enemy at the Gates being incredibly depressing towards the end.
Brazil was also depressing towards the end without trying to spoil it too much.
A Serbian Film.
The Green Mile
I'm not afraid to say that this movie made me cry every time i watched it. The best Stephen King adaptation.
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
Not because it made me cry,but because it made me feel high. I'm not kidding, the characters in this movie take so many drugs i felt high by the end of the movie.
Hero.
Amazing movie, the ending was impressive.
Titanic

You are talking about the one with Dustin Hoffman as Bernie LaPlante, right? I love that movie!
1. Click (the only movie that I've ever had teary eyes)
Nothing else really sticks out in my head right now.
Jesus, I'd think that "Saving Private Ryan" would at least be in most people's top 5!

Fucking war movies and their overly sentimental bullshit
Overly sentimental? Sir, I present to you, evidence:

1. Deathly Hallows Pt. 1, I literally cried during this with 6 friends with me. Next thing I know I'm getting berated by my friend's sister.
2. Requiem for a Dream, the old lady's story was so depressing.
3. Up, I kind of cried when I saw it too.
4. Amelie, around the end when she gave up hope just crushed me.
5. X-Men 3, Professor X :smith:
As you'd expect, I've got the reputation to be kind of emotional.
i had never EVER felt sadness from watching a movie. pretty much for the reason i just look at it as how it is. scripted and such. BUT marley and me, god damnit that movie made me baw insanely hard. sat there on the couch with my girlfriend both of us in tears.
Surprised no one said Toy story 3. Was a good part of my childhood
I was nearly in tears at the very beginning, with the Disney castle. The nostalgia almost overwhelmed me.
Damn, Shawshank Redemption. One hour through and I'm already crying about the old man. And one minute after that, I find out what he does to himself.
The Green Mile
The Shawshank Redemption
Click
Saving Private Ryan
One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest
Marley and Me is still the only movie that's ever made me cry.
I was watching it with both my dogs sitting with me and I fucking broke down at the ending.
