Just as title states. Zero Tolerance programs are used by schools to mean that if it's in your student handbook, and you broke it in any way, your in trouble. No teachers or principles are aloud to show any leancy towards it. There was this huge guy who liked to pick on this one little kid WAY to much. One day, after the big kid tried to shove his head into a brick wall, he revealed to us all how awesome a brown belt in karate is, and used to block off the hand and twist it around the big kids, who weighs 65 pounds more then him back to warn him off. Nobody got harmed. But his was suspended 2 weeks for "attempting to initiate a fight", even though the large kid was suspended 3 times for constant bullying among many students, while Mr. Karate here makes straight A's and has never been in trouble in his life. This one may make you rage a little At a different high school from mine, a very angry student brought a loaded .45 caliber pistol to school. He came into the cafeteria, and shot a bullet into the ceiling, and everyone went under the tables. After like 3 minutes of him walking around, periodontally shooting near the foot of someone, with no administrators or security in sight, a student grabbed his foot as he walked by, tackled him, and plied the gun from his hand, and handing it to a teacher. This brave hero was suspended for 4 days because the handbook clearly states you are not to interfere with anyone with any form of weapon.
That would piss me of to be honest. I'd tell the teachers to piss off.
Which one? Both? Ya, they both made me rage a bit.
Well, the second one. If he saved the lives of all those people, he should get a medal, even if he was going against the rules. The rules are meant to stop people from getting hurt, so it's okay if you break them only to save people from that.

The librarians at my high school are complete Nazis. I was chilling with my friend during our commons period in there and we fell asleep on the couch (they have a few couches in a corner for chillin') and apparently his phone fell out of his pocket while he was sleeping. The librarian shook him awake, took his phone away, and gave him a 4 hour Saturday detention. The phone wasn't even on. The other teachers (aka the ones that aren't stupid fucks and aren't stuck with being a high school librarian for the rest of their lives) are much more tolerant of our school's "no phones" policy. Hell, one of my teachers let us text in class if we wanted just as long as we had our work done. I'm pretty sure I'd make a shitty teacher because I'd just get the teaching done in 10 minutes and then let the kids do whatever they want.
This world is unfair, get used to it :smith: I don't think my school has any of these, i think The only suspension i believe that my school ever did in 22 years was last year: when a prick punched a 10 year old within the school area until he started to bleed, even after countless times bullying and disrespecting people The guy is 16 years old and still at 7th grade  right now
he was going against the rules.
That's the only words the zero tolerance program hears.
#1, link me to an article bc i doubt that #2 rules like that are there for the students safety
And what if he was shooting people? The guy with the gun was paying no attention to this guy, this was his chance, it's a good thing he took it.
maybe, but its still a rule for his safety and i still want to see an article
maybe, but its still a rule for his safety and i still want to see an article
I must go digging, give me a minute. Also, spelling. Just saying.

Here's mine. This one guy was transferred into my American Literature class after 2nd semester. He always came late, did nothing in class, and was pretty useless. The only thing he did do was harass the hell out of everyone in our group (desks are arranged into groups of four). He was a disgusting individual, make sexual licking motions, verbally insulting us (calling us 'Faggots'), making sexual threats (Spread my ass and cum up my back) and showing off his porn on his phone and bragging about how many times he got laid. No one at the table reported him. He mostly targeted me, think I was a weak link. So the abuse continued, he attempted to touch one of my pals, so he elbowed the fag and accidently bumped his face. The guy proceeded to exit the room, then come back in, stating "it was for your own good. I get hit in the face, I blank out and go crazy" or some incredible bullshit like that. One day, I was particularly in a foul mood with him, as he entered the class, kissed me on the back and took his seat. After a bit of reading from our textbooks, he started throwing shit at me, first paper, then a ketchup pack (wtf?). Got pissed, tossed it back at him and told him to cut it out. Does it again, throws me this jackass grin, and I had it. I picked up the textbook off my desk, walked over to him, slammed it over his head and proceeded to pummel him with 5-6 blows to the face, he did absolutely nothing. I then stopped, walked up to the teacher, apologized, and waiting for adminitration to take me down to the office. He was charged with Inappropriate Conduct and was given 3 days suspension. I was given Assault and 10 days suspension. We later had a conference with the principal about it, asking for the definition for Sexual Harassment (pretty sure the above was that) and she dodged it, obviously not knowing. TL;DR: Kid moved into my class, perverted sick-o, verbally and physically harasses us, throws shit at me, I slam a book over his noggin, apologize to teacher and await punishment, he got 3 days out of school, I got 10, principal is a spineless coward and is ignoring the fact there is a sexual predator in our class. Edit: Forgot to mention, I was hailed as a stalwart martyr by my peers and everyone hates that kid.

You pummeling somebody and getting suspend for it isn't zero tolerance.
Death penalty.
My school is soft. The principal is pretty much just a big kid. I got in trouble for having my hair too long, and he told me to cut it or I'd get suspention. Then we laughed and he bought me a cookie.

The whole thing is that this guy is a sexual deviant and two other people at the table testified against him. All our stories matched up. He has yet to be pinned with Sexual Harassment, and for all I know, during his three days, he was sitting pretty, masturbating, while I got kicked out for ten days, failing all but 3 subjects with all the work I couldn't make up.
