Are you sure you aren't a cheater/plagiarizer?
Yes I am sure!
i dont [editline]08:47PM[/editline] I pay attention in class so I don't have to study.
I honestly don't. If I don't know something, I memorize it by repetition or thinking up some dumb acronym or something. 90% of the time though I don't, and I do rather well in school (3.7 GPA average over 2.5 years).
you've got almost 2,000 posts in like 6 months
thats because IM A FUCKING DINOSAUR
I usually turn off my internet connection. It helps
Due to over-use, my network cable has fused with my PC and I can't turn off any internet devices as my family use it too.
I don't. No seriously, I've never studied a day in my life and I graduated high school just fine.
I tried to study when I was little, I never managed to study more than 15 minutes. I dont study anymore and I get consistent A's and B's in all my classes I find that the best you can do if you Don't like to study is pay the fuck attention in class. Don't complain about how hard a class is and how much you need to study if you spend half of it asleep or talking to your friends. (being Chinese helps too :pcgaming:)
Same story here. I only study for very important tests or assignments and I generally get upwards of 92 in all my classes. Most of the kids don't pay attention or have any initiative in my school. I guess paying attention and trying is what sets me apart from them.
i look through my books and hope it goes in
I just look at my notes for a long time, make my own personal review sheet, complete it, and if I'm still not confident, I ask for my parents to quiz me. ... However, I only do that for Biology. It brought me from a D to an A. I don't care enough to take such a measure for my other classes.
Whenever I try to study, I get distracted. Like you OP, I just think "Meh, i'll do it later", which turns into "Meh, i'll do it tomorrow morning">"Meh, i'll do it in class">"Oh, hi, teacher. Homework for today? Uhm, ye, I think I have it somewhere in my backpack, just a second. Whoops, looks like I must have forgotten to bring it with me" Which turns out with me getting a note for not having done the homework.
Student + Dying = Studying

When you do go out to study/do homework, it helps if you go someplace "special" to do homework that is away from distractions. Such as my sister likes to go to Starbucks to work on homework and/or study. Away from the distractions at home and it gives a good atmosphere for such things. Plus when you actually GO SOMEWHERE away from home to study, you kind of force yourself into a situation where if you don't study, you'll have wasted gas/time going to a starbucks for nothing.
I pay attention in class so I don't have to study.
Turn on my pc and realise i can do it later :geno:
I quit college and joined the navy. Much easier than those stupid tests.
It seems like everytime I try, I'm either sleepy and my eyes are shutting or I just can't be arsed (lazy) so I'm like "meh, I'll do it next time". Share your secrets/tips?
I don't even study. Then again I'm just a fucking dropout. :smith:
you've got almost 2,000 posts in like 6 months
I've got like 300 something posts in 5 years. Also, get some motivation, it's obvious you can't get into studying if you don't want to. (are we talking about high school or college/university?)

(are we talking about high school or college/university?)
High school. My teacher said if I don't study I'm pretty much gonna fail @ life. Or do something low class like work at KFC or a normal store as a box stacker or possibly army. Came out wrong ^ I mean study and get good grades, score high to study something well payed/demanding in uni/col
Hey, OP. You see these posters saying they never study or take notes but always get A's or B's? They're bullshitting, don't listen to them. Just do your shit right after class when you come home or something. Not only do you finish it with a fresh mind, but you take that out of the way to do everything else.
Well, you're teacher doesn't have to be right, some people are doers and some thinkers. I guess you're more of a practical person who likes to work on projects rather then chewing on theories all day. But high school and college is quite different. In high school you will get all the basics forced on, some that may seem pointless. It's hard to motivate for that. What I did was made some promises with my parents. Or you could think about the consequences, like, what would happen if I did fail. Well obviously you get to do a year over for example, but you have to look at the bigger picture. I had to do some years over as well, now I'm studying something I want, but most people of my age already are done with all that and have a job. I really regret not doing my best in high school back then, because I wasted so much time now. These are just a few things. But it's best if you sit down and think a bit over why you are studying. That's the best remedy to get a good motivation.
Adderall prescription. :science:
My school schedule is full of gaps so I just sit in the library and use every minute to study.
Hey, OP. You see these posters saying they never study or take notes but always get A's or B's? They're bullshitting, don't listen to them.
No, they're not. It's possible to get good grades without studying, but different people have different learning habits. OP is a person who has to study to remember something. Others can just remember it when they hear it in class.

(being Chinese helps too :pcgaming:)
If anyone's wondering how they can be Chinese, you can ask me. I'll give you some tips on how to act Chinese, look Chinese, and ultimately become Chinese. My life changed after I became Chinese. I was once a stupid dumb white guy who couldn't understand Quantum Mechanics, Physics, and Calculus. Now that I'm Chinese, I know all of this, plus rocket science. People at my school are always on about this, but I just sit down and read it, maybe put on some music while I do. I feel like the only person who can just sit down and read up on stuff.
Personally I think school is far too bureaucratic now, the idea that studying random information determines how "good" you are at the subject worries me. A lot of your educational grading ends up being based not on how much you know but how much shit you put up with. This is coming from a "B-A+" student by the way. My point here is if you want to you can achieve the bureaucratic grades you want but don't think your going to be a super-failure if you don't know random information at the right time.
