Legend of Dragoon was the first game to make me feel loss, back in the day. First game to make me cry, to. Zelda Oot taught me to read better, by the time I got it I could read, but I still used to get my parents to read out any dialogue for me, they got sick of it and made me read it all for myself.

MGS taught me the basics of CQC
Spyro was the first game to teach me to always be extra vigilant and double-check places in games. There was always that one fucking gem tucked in a corner you somehow missed.
Super Mario 64 taught me that video games are fun. Halo taught me video games can have complex and mature stories. Colonial Marines taught me video games can suck so many dicks that you hate everyone involved in it's creation.
Colin McRae Rally 2.0 taught my five-year old self which direction is left and which direction is right.
Half-Life was the first FPS game were I experienced ability to jump and aim in all directions. Splinter Cell taught me shadows can make you invisible. Now I sometimes need to remind myself in other stealth games that rule doesn't apply. Mafia taught to me check if the game has the reload-not-completely-empty-mag-lose-bullets mechanics and not abuse the reload button.
Combat Evolved and Call of Duty 2 and 4 all taught games can have good stories and my dad will always kick my ass at multiplayer.
Soul Calibur 5 taught me that more games need 'Chest' sliders.
Every games I played taught me English and speak with American accent. Gran Turismo taught me how to modify cars to your liking.
