I got my English experience with Sonic the Hedgehog games, online games and forums.
Half-Life 3 taught me patience.
Banished taught me about how easy it is to lose track of supplies and how important having surplus stuff is.
Goat Simulator taught me Goats are dicks...
Portal taught me how to think with portals.
Seriously though, Portal was one of the first games who made me fall in love with the media. It taught me creative thinking and that things aren't always as they seem.
The Walking Dead showed me that even if things seem lost, there are some things you have to keep fighting for. In all seriousness TWD proved that a player can have a true emotional connection to his character.
EVE taught me that everyone is shit.
Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee and Abe's Exoddus taught me how to calm the fuck down and really think of how to solve this fucking puzzle...
