Played some greenman game last night. Went to a house with no furniture so we made our own.
By the way, making our own furniture means using over 250 boxes to build crazy walls, barriers, pillars and beams running through the house.
One point we walked down a hallway, cleared all the rooms down the hallway, we turned around and notice something that wasn't there when we went into the hallway. Its pitch black so we looked for a second to try and understand what it was. Apparently greenman built a beam that went wall to wall out of boxes, and as soon as we understood that, he kicked the beam at us, pummeling us with boxes.
Hm, some strange music you got from Chaos Theory, imo Bank soundtrack was best:

Couple of tips
In long grass/ scrubland (to some extent snow) if you are spotted drop and imediatly start rolling, you can cover more ground in a shorter time than adjusting the direction of your crawl.
If you get close enough to stab, left hand over the mouth (over not in) knee into the back of theirs to support the weight and remember to stab, twist then slide sideways before removing. The slide eases the suction and reduces the ammount of noise to a minimum.
Always be naked whilst stealthing. Feels better.

I hope nobody here needs to now how to take a knife out of a human body...

I'm now going to have nightmares about being chased through a field by a rolling, naked, fat man clutching a penknife.
Thinking of playing greenman with some mates.
I think we have about 6 nerfguns total, so that lets us play with 7 people.
Mavericks for point men, the stampede and vulcan for heavies.
Only problem is the green man. We don't have a body suit. I have a balaclava, gloves and some dark clothing but I don't think that'll be as effective at breaking up silhouettes as the green suit :(
One of the best ways I find to move around silently is wait for background noise to pick up. Move when there are loud distractions. Of course, if there are no sounds that's where positioning ranks in as the most important.
Now, it would be pretty awesome if you had one of those iphone or ipod apps that has control over house heating and cooling. Turn on the AC quickly for some noise!

I agree. That would be pretty great. I can think of many ways to scare the shit out of people after they go to investigate.
Also, That balaclava thing is fucking cool. As soo an I got mine on I ran outside and scared my dad
Ooh, another thing. If you get one of those sound producing apps for ipods (The ones that let you choose a frequency and pattern and play a noise, usually called "Dog Whistle" applications, you can play extremely loud noises that are hard to pinpoint. Just don't put much between you and your target.
Also, a bonus with those apps. If you know your friend's frequency ranges, or if you are playing against people younger than you, play a sound just beyond your hearing range. They can hear it, but you can't, so you can move around with full hearing while everyone else's hearing is masked.

Even better if you could have it pulse at random intervals to really throw off their scenes.

This would work well with a paranoia factor as a practical prank! Just play that before you scare someone EVERY time. Eventually you should just be able to play the sound and make them freak out.

I've always wanted to be in a situation where I can scare people like that. Sadly, I'm 6'2" and will likely never be able to fit into a small place or scare people. Also, as mentioned, I don't have any friends that would be up for stealth games.

I'm 6'3" and I pull it off about 75% of the time that I try.
One time in middle school, I had a few friends over. One of my friends decided it would be a great idea to sneak around the house whilst everyone else was asleep. (honestly, I don't know)
While we were stopped on the first floor, he looked up at the second floor hallway and his throat gave way to a superhuman belch.
He put his hand to his mouth really fast and we bolted back laughing our asses off.
I'm in college now so I don't know what the fuck we were thinking but it was fucking hilarious.
I've broken into my own house twice, once while someone was home. They didn't even know I was there until I turned on the tv. :v:

It all depends on the flexibility of your body, not on your height. I am 1m 83 cm and can perfetly fit in a box.

Don't let that limit you, I'm nearly 6'4 and I am a good hider. One time I evaded capture in an absolutely empty house for half an hour and was hiding on top of a refrigerator crouching my body very low and tight on top of it. And I have hid in more cramped spaces than that.
I'm off to a week long camp tomorrow and on the Wednesday there is a game that is played called The Wide Game by those who are 14-19 and those who are older. The younger people are put into groups and driven out about 5/6 miles from the campsite in the dark. You then get dropped off and have to find your way back in groups. Once you get to the campsite you have to try and get within a lit up square before a staff member catches you and rips off your wristband.
I'm going to ninja mask that shit and stealth it out to the max. Wish me luck.

SWEET JESUS, FISHER
Another good way to assure your cover isn't blown is to know the field. Know what spots make more sounds, and what spots are more visible, etc.
I found wearing my shades while practicing works.
I found wearing my shades while practicing works.
Shades help in hiding and stealth? Disagree. They hinder your vision and reflect a lot of light.
You need cool points to imitate kings of stealth like sam fisher.

Anyone link to that ninja pissing thread? That was a good read
Had a stealth situation at school today.
I had lost a bet and refused to pay the money for it, and I was chased by the guys buttbuddy because of it.
The guy was a muscular heavyset. If you fucking stood under him you'd shit yourself. He could easily break your neck. When I'm running from him, I can't seem to shake him. He's gaining up on me and pretty much I run out of tactics. Then I remember:
Blend.
So I got into a huge crowd and he just whirred on by.
Amazing how stealth works.

If you practice in hard conditions, the real thing will be easier.
A couple of my friends were over, and although most were girls, we actually did some Nerf battle in the dark. Although we turned off the lights, it was a bit too light and the basement was too small to have any sort of stealth.
If I had enough friends, I could do some sort of game in the woods with airsoft guns, that would be pretty awesome.
