Videogames dont take control of your mind. You can stop playing them whenever. You cant sober up whenever after taking drugs or drinking.
You don't know shit. I used to be hooked on video games. They did take over my mind because they were all I cared about for a while. I let it affect my schooling and my social life. I still think I play too much, even though I've broken my addiction. Never once have I ever let weed affect my responsibilities or social life. Believe it or not, weed helps me to be a better person, including a better husband to my wife. The other day, I smoked up and there was a bit of a mess in our place, including some dishes. I got up and cleaned it (I felt guilty for sitting there). If I was gaming, I would have spent that 30 minutes trying to make progress in the game. It's always just one more hour, 10 more minutes, more, more, more, but I've stopped smoking weed (even though I had a quarter ounce in my possession) for months just 'cause I didn't feel like smoking it. So yes, weed can be equal to video games and games CAN destroy your life. It depends on the person. There are stories of people who are so hooked on games, they don't take care of basic needs and end up dying (I'm looking at you, Korea), or they actually kill others over it (there was a thread in the news section recently about that).

You need weed to motivate you?
Ignorance pisses me off more than anything, and this is a solid case of ignorance. For one, how can you put something down when you've never experienced it? How can you diss something when everything you know about it comes from anti-drug government programs? How can you get pissed at people for living the way they want to? You sir, are in no position to tell them that they're wrong. They might very well be, but who cares? If it doesn't affect you, then why care? I mean, even if your friend has smoked, it's not like he will change much. I've been smoking for years and the only thing that has changed is my seriousness when it comes to music, how long I grow my hair, and the kind of jacket I wear. Of course there are more extreme examples, but weed doesn't do shit when it comes to modifying personality, unless you're a dumbass, in which case you shouldn't be associating with them in the first place. I don't mean to be mean, but it really is none of your business. If shit starts to change, then you can do whatever you want, but until then, mind your own beeswax. TL;DR Not your problem. You're in no position to make it your problem.
You are a weak person.
So were your old friends apparently.
So were your old friends apparently.
Exactly my point. Exactly why I stopped hanging out with them. :downs:
Exactly my point. Exactly why I stopped hanging out with them. :downs:
Really? Because it seemed to me like you were blaming weed/drugs for it.
I find it ironic that your avatar is a picture of a dilated eye, a common indicator of someone who is high/intoxicated.
Or aroused?
dont give him any ideas, im too tired for today.
Or aroused?
oh baby you make my pupils dilate [editline]11:47PM[/editline]
Well it's pointless to bring up that point considering the different circumstances.
true, contrarily, i am tired and running on caffine/gotta finish this homework or else death, so my replies may not be completely the most intelligent.
You are better off wanting to kill fat kids because McDonalds is worse for you than weed.
Jesus Christ this thread makes me angry. There are so many things wrong with everything Abrown has said, but I'm not going to go try proving him wrong because I know that whatever I say won't let him see past his ignorance. Oh and, I've started smoking weed more and I'm actually doing better in school. It's the people that smoke weed that fuck their own lives up, not the weed that people smoke.
Really? Because it seemed to me like you were blaming weed/drugs for it.
Yes, the drugs weakened the individuals to the point where they were completely helpless.
TLDR: I want to kill people who smoke weed. On the other hand, if you took the liberty to read this entire thread, I solely appreciate it and it gives me hope that there are people that understand me.
Congratulations, kid. You're the bitch of Republican propaganda. Marijuana, out of all the drugs on earth, is probably the least harmful, next to plain sucrose and caffeine (Both of which are more addictive than weed).
Yes, the drugs weakened the individuals to the point where they were completely helpless.
anything could have done that, coulda been video games even.
You are a weak person. You need weed to motivate you?
No, I don't need weed to motivate me, it just helps. I would have cleaned the mess anyway, I was simply showing the contrast between weed and video games in my life.
Oh and, I've started smoking weed more and I'm actually doing better in school.
You're an exception then.
:words:
lol
You're an exception then.
there seems to be a very large amount of exceptions then, considering the amount of people who have tried drugs.
You're an exception then.
Not an exception, and theres no way to know who smokes weed and who doesn't unless they show signs or tell you of it. So for every dumbass there could be 2 normies who don't mention it.
anything could have done that, coulda been video games even.
You aren't grasping that these people would rather do drugs and party than do something productive such as focusing on school (i.e. doing their homework). Yes, videogames do hinder people, and it can be comparable to drugs to a degree but not on such a large scale.
Jesus Christ this thread makes me angry.
So the weed isn't making you do better in school, it's you all along.
Yes.
So the weed isn't making you do better in school, it's you all along.
And the weed could possibly be hindering your full potential. Have you ever smoked weed instead of study?
And the weed could possibly be hindering your full potential. Have you ever smoked weed instead of study?
Sorry, I never smoked anything.
You aren't grasping that these people would rather do drugs and party than do something productive such as focusing on school (i.e. doing their homework). Yes, videogames do hinder people, and it can be comparable to drugs to a degree but not on such a large scale.
It's not much more complicated then them just not wanting to do school or whatever, not the fault of whatever they do instead.
And the weed could possibly be hindering your full potential. Have you ever smoked weed instead of study?
Which is easier: Studying while high Studying while playing a video game
Look, here's the point. Weed is mostly harmless. It does not intoxicate people as much as alcohol, and is less addictive than either nicotine or alcohol. It is illegal because some bastard way back when who saw the hemp industry as competition to his textile corporation made an appeal to the then-racist white male anglo-saxon government, using many bigoted, sexist and otherwise deplorable arguments, which eventually resulted in the government outlawing marijuana. Want to smoke weed? Go ahead, but be aware of the risks if you're caught. Until the government today acknowledges the wrongs of the past and legalizes marijuana, you're in danger of being criminally charged if found in posession of it. That said, no substance, be it tobacco, nicotine, cannabis, alcohol or otherwise, should be experimented with simply for the purpose of 'looking cool' or 'fitting in'. It requires age, experience and maturity to understand the full implications of one's actions in this area. So focus on your school work. /thread
Which is easier: Studying while high Studying while playing a video game
Neither is good, but probably while high.
