Whatever car you get, do a VIN check on it before you even put a down payment.

My friend just traded his NA miata for a mk4 GTI 1.8t. watch out for cheap ones that dont have service history or at least new looking parts under the hood. coil packs go bad ALL THE TIME, and they are generally beat on by teens who don't have the funds to fix what they break. also, make sure it doesn't have a BOV or signs there were one, as VW's, unless pretty modded, do not run good with VTA BOV's.
