While filming 28 Days Later some scenes required shots of long, empty roads. This involved closing certain roads in England for the filming. Poilce would close the roads at 4am and filming would begin immediately. It would last for one hour, and at that time the police would reopen the roads. As well as having to deal with traffic, the producers also had to ask clubbers to find alternative routes home. In terms of the traffic, the producers correctly predicted that asking drivers to either wait for up to an hour or find another way might cause some considerable consternation. It worked. In the Last Exorcism the actress who played the possessed girl performed all of the contortions on her own. She had hypermobility. Contrary to popular belief, the Jack Rabbit Slim's dance contest was not written into Pulp Fiction once John Travolta signed on. The scene originally existed and having John Travolta was just a lucky bonus. This may or may not be late but For the rape scene in the Pawn Shop, Tarantino originally wanted "My Sharona" by The Knack to be playing because of it has a good "sodomy beat to it." One of the members became disturbed to think that their song would be forever associated to that scene, they did not allow their song for the movie.
This might not be the appropriate place for it, but since we are on the topic of music, Which movies have "Layla"(Eric Clapton) as part of their soundtrack? Can't remember which version of the song it was.
On Hot Fuzz, at the start of Pete's chase. When Danny puts down "SuperCop", on the pile of DVDs, you see Shaun of the dead in the pile.
Wasn't it under a different name or something as well? If I remember right it was labeled "Zombies Party" or something like that, which was the changed title of that movie in certain countries.
Although it was not approved by EON at the time, Quentin Tarantino wanted to direct Casino Royale in a much different manner than what was seen on the screen. The Differences -Pierce Brosnan as Bond -The film would take place in the '50's just like the book. -It would be filmed in black and white. -Less of an action film, more like a Cold War Era spy film. Alas, once EON announced that they were looking for a replacement for Pierce Brosnan, Tarantino removed any interest he had in directing the movie.
Dude, I have no idea what you just said here.
Rusty beat me to this, I guess, but yeah, John Travolta pretty much made his career in movies with singing and dancing (Grease, Saturday Night Fever...). People thought that Quentin wrote the scene just to see Travolta dance. Now back on topic! The TV Store set used in The Matrix was reportedly haunted. A ghost was seen by some cast and crew members.
When Predator started shooting the original design for the predator looked like a giant lobster and was apparently so pathetic that the cast members laughed when he walked by. The new design that we're all familiar with is over six feet tall, which forced them to recast the actor inside the suit. The original "lobster" predator was played by Jean Claude Van Damme.
not a film but in doctor who the tardis taking off and landing is a leather glove being rubbed on piano strings
When I read about Christopher Lee and his involvement with the LOTR films its kinda sad. He wanted to be gandalf, but he couldn't and really wanted to be involved and got the bad guy role. He did a great job as Saruman btw. I'm guessing he really loved the books. But was denied a promised role as Gandalf who was probably his favorite character. Truthfully I can't see him as Gandalf which is an opinion I couldn't avoid.
I heard J.R.R. Tolkien gave Christopher Lee his blessing to either be in a Lord of the Rings movie or be Gandalf in the movie. I forget how it goes. :/

Ian McKellen on the other hand just almost screams 'look at me, I'm a friendly docile old man', as does his voice. No, Christopher Lee as Saruman was the better choice.
Ian McKellen on the other hand just almost screams 'look at me, I'm a friendly docile old man', as does his voice.
Does he?
not a film but in doctor who the tardis taking off and landing is a leather glove being rubbed on piano strings
The TARDIS takeoff sound is actually a key being scraped up and down a piano string, not a glove. A cameraman's foot was cut off by Little Nellie's rotor In You Only Live twice Also in You Only live twice, the swimming scenes for five Japanese actors were done by Sean Connery's then wife.
The original script for Pulp Fiction had the suitcase full of diamonds. The last movie quentin tarantino filmed 'Reservoir Dogs' also featured diamonds and he didn't want to be repedative. One of the crew members then suggested they put a light bulb in the suitcase and Tarantino liked it. The disc that Neo gives to the random guy at the start of The Matix was software to erase parking tickets from the system. Nothing much else. The fed ex box that Tom Hanks doesn't open in Castaway was filled with spices and condiments. As seen in a deleted scene where he actually does open it.
Lando Calrissian wears Han Solo's clothes at the end of Episode V, the only difference being a different collar.
How do we know?
It was written in the original script, then cut out.
The actor for Torgo in "Manos: The Hands of Fate" wore the shin pads in his costume upside-down, but nobody informed him of his mistake.
Lando Calrissian wears Han Solo's clothes at the end of Episode V, the only difference being a different collar.
Technically they are Lando's Clothes seeing as Han stole the Millenium Falcon which is Lando's Ship

Needless to say, having seen that movie countless of times, it hit me like a goddamn bullet and now I'll forever be weirded the fuck out. Lando you creep.

Han hasn't stolen the Millenium Falcon. He won it from Lando at a sabacc tournament. Why the fuck do I know that?

Well so he stole his ship, but they could very well still have been Han's own clothes.
It's just styled clothing, some might even say it's correlian. Almost like how most of us today wear shorts or blue jeans. many other smugglers and rogue pilots in canon wear similar styled clothing (which is to say a different colored vest or sweater) for instance, Talon Karrde, another prolific and influential smuggler often wears a vest with fur, but can sometimes be seen with a variation of what we would normally accept as Lando Calrissian's cape. but this is entirely off topic!
The actor for Torgo in "Manos: The Hands of Fate" wore the shin pads in his costume upside-down, but nobody informed him of his mistake.
He hurt his knees so bad he suffered from chronic knee pain for months afterwards until he blew his head off with a shotgun one month before it released.
Apparently in literally every single shot of Fight Club, there is a Star Bucks coffee cup somewhere in the frame.
