• People constantly discussing MW2
uh, you just said MW2 was for the football player that stole money and thought he didn't need to study to have a good future, unless that's suddenly a good reputation in your eyes; that sounds like a bashful comment. don't try to define what audience mw2 is meant for, there are a lot of dumb people playing it, sure, but just as many smart and respectable people play it too. your comment didn't offend me but i'm basically saying you think mw2 is for dumb people which is a really biased view.
i'm saying it's for dummies and MenSa's alike, if you want a Disney expression for it... well, i can't find it. but, let's be honest. it's far easier on the audience than ME2 is. you'll have to have some kind of feel for either Futurism or storytelling to like it. to play MW2 (and CS) all you need is a basic understanding of how a mouse works and like competition and a minimal interest in guns. the requirements to get into it has the lesser bottleneck compared to ME2. it's not for lulz that one sold 7 mill in no time and the other is at around 2 mill. both good sales, but comeon?
OP looks like "Boo Hoo mommy I can't fit in". Get your own personality OP.
Nah he has a point, Although I do like modern warfare 2, AS a game. I hate everyone going HUR GUIZE I WAS USING MY INTARVENTION AND I KEELED SO MANE GUIZE I GOT LIEK 5 HEADSHAWTS THEN RANKED UP LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
I admit MW2 is a decent game, however people constantly discussing it does piss me off. I was in a shop yesterday and the guys behind me wouldn't shut up about COD and in one of my drama lessons, a group of people said they would go last to everyone else, calling it a '4-v-1 UMP clutch.' and in ICT later that day all i could here from across the classroom was 'How to do a drop shot.' and the like. Some people need to get off COD.
You didn't exactly help the situation by talking about something as dull as Bioshock.
Yeah same here. I try to join in sometimes but I just walk over and they're talking about what guns they use and shit. I don't care mate. At least there are some people who don't play COD and one dude who is ready to talk about other games.
Same at my uni, none of them play PC games either so its all consolefag-speak! HURF A DURF I GOT DUH AC130 AND LAST NIGHT I HAZ GOT 10th PRESTIGE HURR IM SO COOL AND AMAZING More like I waste too much time playing the same game over and over....
This annoys me so much I want to punch people in the face. My friends and most other kids in my school never stop talking about MW2. I'm not exaggerating, 99% of conversations in or out of school are about it, it's like it's the only thing in the world that matters. Guy dies at the Olympics? Who gives a fuck! I got a tactical nuke last night! Even in the middle of fucking class it's "clan match" this and "kill streak" that. I start talking about Bioshock 2, nobody gives a fuck. Back to MW2. It's the ONLY game anyone plays. The most annoying thing of all is that I fucking hate the game, I don't play it, that makes it impossible to have a conversation with anyone. God dammit people it's just a fucking game. Well. Got that off my chest.
That's because Bioshock 2 is a boring rehash of the first game. There's a reason MW2 is talked about and Bioshock 2 is not.
would you mind stopping indirectly flaming me? i'm of this generation and believe it or not... i've garnered more than basic knowledge of computers, specs, games, consoles and when a computer isn't exactly a good choice for gaming anymore. (when it's got win 98 you HAVE to know when to get a fucking new one.) stop hitting all of us when those you want to hit is only 1/3 of us, thanks.
That was pretty much for he-did-it-->, about 1/3? Try about 95%
MW2 is a good game except that IW completely screwed over the pc gamming comunity, also the fact that everyone talks about it now, even those who have no idea about games :/
I generally try to keep games out of conversations as it can make people who don't have them bored.
and people think your a bit sad for wanting to do nothing else than discuss a game on the internet/fourms fine, in real life jesus no.
That's because Bioshock 2 is a boring rehash of the first game. There's a reason MW2 is talked about and Bioshock 2 is not.
Most kids didnt buy Bioshock 2 because they are still up all night trying to get 4th presitge or whatever, and don't buy new games if CALL OF DUTY or HALO isnt in its title.
Bioshock 2 is awesome. now something related: What makes COD so addictive?
just to put this out there. I agree with OP. i hate people who talk about videogames in a social setting when you could be talking about other constructive things. like "DAT ASS"
Bioshock 2 is awesome. now something related: What makes COD so addictive?
the amazing graphics the good gameplay the plot etc, etc.....
the amazing graphics the good gameplay the plot etc, etc.....
maybe, but you missed out the key element the multiplayer
You didn't exactly help the situation by talking about something as dull as Bioshock.
I was pretty much just seeing if they had even heard of it. They hadn't.
My only problem are the gross misinformation they get from the game. That the Desert Eagle is the greatest handgun in the world, no-scooping people with a .50 while running, firing from the hip is actually possible and that modern warfare consists of people running around without any common goal, screaming at each other while hiding behind plastic shields and throwing knives at one another. [editline]04:56PM[/editline]
ITT: bunch of anti-social kids hate mw2 because it's popular and they don't want to conform with the others because they're rebellious and "different"
I hate Pol Pot, but everyone else seems to like him so I'm just going to conform to that group to be popular. What's the worse that could happen? I own MW2 by the way, it's okay. Single player was good, Multiplayer was okay for the first few weeks after release but now it's just a clusterfuck.
You're probably blowing things out of proportion if you let things like this get to you. Sometimes, a game/movie/artist/song/etc will become very popular, and lots of people will talk about it, but you won't like it. That's life. Get over it and hope that better things hit the mainstream.
I'm in 9th grade and a kid actually wore COD pajama pants to school. People are sad and pathetic
The game is fun, at least with friends. Wish I owned the PC port though :(
I honestly don't mind it. Twilight was stupid, granted, but I don't care if people talk about it, or Avatar or MW2. As long as they don't talk to -me- about it.
My friend talks about Borderlands and Bioshock 2 constantly and got bored of MW2 a while ago. How he hasn't gotten bored of Borderlands yet amazes me, and he hasn't even played any Bioshock games so he's going by hype on that one.
My friend talks about Borderlands constantly and got bored of MW2 a while ago. How he hasn't gotten bored of Borderlands yet amazes me.
The FPS fan has discovered his first RPG apparently.
MW2 was a god awful wretched piece of shit. I can not believe how many people adore that game so much. When I break it down to people just how lacking MW2 is in content, multiplayer and mission design I will always end up getting yelled at by MW2 fanboys. I don't even say anything bad either, this is the gist of what I say. Single-Player: - Half-assed 5 hour campaign. - One of the most frustrating levels in a video game. (The FUCKING Favela.) - Cramming shock factors that weren't even a shock because everything rushes by you. - Storyline is as deep is a puddle of urine. - Not much diversity in the missions compared to MW1. Only cool ones were the astronaut thing (which only last a minute), the boat chase and the end. (I'm not counting the snowmobile scenario, that was a fucking joke.) Multi-player: - Few extra toys/killstreak/perks unlocks along with MW1's stuff. - Like, 10 maps? - IWNet is a fucking joke, not sure how it is for consoles. - Even more unbalanced than MW1's multiplayer. It's like IW went with the strategy of making it unbalanced as fuck in hopes it would magically balance itself. Engine upgrades: - Really only noticeable difference between MW1 and MW2 is full dynamic lighting/shadowing. The content in MW2 is not worth $60.
It's just like Halo 3. People start talking about it and 3 months later, they're STILL talking about it. The people in my school are pretty tasteless. They hate nintendo, worship MW2 and Halo 3 more than anything, and think Team Fortress 2 and HL2 are boring games.
At my work its the only game people talk about but you can see why because literally everyone is like 17-25 and all own a PS3 and game together on it. Its not annoying really just because of the epic fun you get from owning your mates then bragging about it the next day
let me guess... middle school?
Dude, I'm a fucking senior in high school and it's the same way...*sigh* hopefully it will end someday...

Let's not even talk about akimbo G18s...
It does have so much more than the first Modern Warfare but... quantity =/= quality
All it has is a few extra toys/killstreaks/perks, 10 maps (ranging between good (Highrise) to god awful (Rust)) and a titles with callsigns. Not worth $60 in my opinion, especially with a single player campaign that is lacking so badly compared to MW1's campaign. Spec-Ops is really the only fun thing about MW2.
It's the same at my school but I actually like the game since unlike the rest of Facepunch, I haven't decided to hate everything that gets a lot of hype or is really popular.
