They pushed it to 2012 bro
I think he knows that, the wording was a bit ambiguous but I think "this next year" means "this coming year", meaning 2012.
MLP is pretty good in spite of the immense backlash it receives from the internet at large
Watched the first few episodes. Got old pretty fast in my opinion.
okay here's the test. watch one of those old nick or old CN channels you get if you got that premium cable package for as long as you can stand it. then watch modern CN or nick for as long as you can stand it. exactly as a whole television is going down the drain and it's not surprising. they just push out the lamest shit to cater to the masses cause the rest of them are either hitting up streaming on the internet, the internet in general or playing video games nowadays. the masses and majorities have changed, media as well. i've been watching all my favorite shows from when i was growing up, they're even better now than they were before. i don't even watch TV anymore. although it's kinda hard to watch invader zim after reading johnny the homicidal maniac and some other comics the dude has done. he really needs his own TV show like on showtime or HBO where he has free reign to do whatever the fuck he wants. here's a music video directed by him. as dark while being completely silly and ridiculous as invader zim got jhonen vasquez can be a billion times more sillier and ridiculous the more fucked up he gets. that's talent. censorship is partly to blame.
Jhonen Vasquez is a completely insane yet awesome motherfucker.
Everybody who hates MLP:FiM has never watched it. Yes the show is marketed to little girls but it's supposed to be a show that boys and adults can enjoy without puking rainbows
They completely ran out of ideas.
Am I the only person in the world who isn't in the "New Spongebobs are absolutely horrible" boat? I mean yeah most of them aren't as great as when the show was in its apex, and there are a few that are very quite disturbing (case in point: Squidward's toenail being ripped out), but I still feel that, overall, the new episodes are still pretty good. Better than 90% of the garbage known as "cartoons" that are aired these days (such as Chowder, Fan Boy and Chum Chum, and I can't even remember any others because I find them so rubbish).
Cartoons? I never really see cartoons anymore because the the best channels are overcrowded with shitty sitcoms such as iCarly, thank fuck nickelodeon is showing Fresh Prince Of Bel Air though, thats about the only thing I watch.
Am I the only one who thinks Cartoon Network is getting better, at least within the past year or two? They went from having nothing worth watching (aside from Flapjack) to having Adventure Time, the Regular Show, and more recently, the Amazing World of Gumball.

It's marketed for little girls, has morales for little girls, jokes for little girls and plots for little girls. It's not like they decided to start again a series ten years later and adapt it so it can still be appealing to the people who watched it in the first place, then grew up - they obviously decided to start all over again because sales were going down and they needed to appeal a new young audience. It's not because a bunch of nerds on the internet took the series and decided to worship it for god knows what reason that it's suddenly made for adults.

There's a Puff the Magic Dragon reference in one episode, and I'm fairly sure most little girls aren't gonna understand that. Also there's nothing wrong with some morals tossed in, I know a lot of adults who could use help with those.

There's a difference between referencing something or actually having an intent to appeal to the adults. MLP makes references to a lot of things, sure, but there's only so much actually intended for the adults. Half the time it's just a reference to keep the writing fresh. Shows like Ed Edd n Eddy are good examples of what appealing to the adults is. Pretty much any episode in Eddy's room shows tissues next to his bed, perverted magazines, and subtle sound effects. ("Kevin'll take my mags for his own viewing pleasure!" *Shakes fists to make a 'papapapapapapapap' sound*)

I actually think "The Looney Tunes Show" isn't that bad. I watched a couple episodes and found it to be genuinely funny, plus the animation is pretty good. It's almost like Looney Tunes 'updated' for the present day, without making a bunch of forced jokes to be 'hip' and 'cool'.

It's not the new cartoons that pisses me, it's those lousy stupid fucking good for nothing live action series we got on Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon. Word of the wise: These networks doesn't need to copy fucking Disney for fuck sake!
