Well for starters you have a pretty stupid idea on what is already known. We still don't know everything there is to know about even bacteria as simple as they are, we don't know everything about the human body and we don't know (or ever will know) about the Earth and even the whole universe. What I am saying is that it is beneficial for the constant thinking and creation of new theories challenging old ones for the progress of our species, this way we correct ourselves and improve our understanding of how certain things work. I know it sounds really fallibillistic to say so but I think I do speak the truth on the nature of modern science.
A dimension is another way for me to say reality or universe.
you have to understand that scientific theories are not some vague abstract concept developed paralelly, but rather detailing theories, each more and more explaining what is going on.

just because there are constantly new concepts trying to grasp the idea behind the universe mechanics, it doesn't mean that if 1000 years ago we though the earth was flat and now we know it's round, therefore - because as you say scientific knowledge changes over time - in 1000 years we will discover it's a cube and then after next 1000 years we come to a conclusion it's actually a tetrahedron
lawls
i saw that on tv
of what yo ujust said
:P
Universe is the Universe
theres many parallel membrane out there
that are supposdely other universes
o_o
but i know fora fact
big bang created it.
The big bang created our universe.
The big bang created our universe.
I forgot to clarify that but the energy present to make it happen for the universe came from a source beyond that one, other dimensions probably (i.e. an atomic particle with functions that shape one dimension which collided with a black hole created from another dimension).
I came up with all that kinda wierd shit when I was younger too, but I've grown out of it. I've found that the only true way to understand things is by trying not to have any beliefs at all. Now I am completely athiest :buddy:
Are you completely retarded or just a troll? Atheists have beliefs. And that doesn't even remotely relate to this thread.
It's thoughts like these that made me quit doing meth.
Why do people attribute thoughts about the universe or philosophy to taking drugs?

We believe in Science and it's theories.
We are not afraid to admit that these theories are wrong when sufficient evidence arises proving a theory wrong. We find out what we did wrong and brain storm some more, and test the new theory.
Religious people on the other hand believe blindly. No matter what evidence is found that punches holes in your little fairy tale, you just use your faith to plug the hole and use a wide array of excuses such as, but not limited to: It's gods will, god works in mysterious ways, it's not for us to comprehend, with god's help it's possible, and much more nonsense.
Why do people attribute thoughts about the universe or philosophy to taking drugs?
because sometimes, people just get way out there.
I'm pretty sure most atheists are anti-religious.
And people do blindly believe in science. Religious people say "we're right, you're wrong." Scientists say the same thing. Neither side is right or wrong.
Science is just as much as a man-made concept used to attempt to comprehend the world as religion is.
Why do people attribute thoughts about the universe or philosophy to taking drugs?
Because even the greatest philosophers got their inspiration by tripping balls.
I'm pretty sure most atheists are anti-religious.

I don't know where you get your information, but you're mistaken. Religion is fine, as long as it doesn't try to pass itself off as scientific.
Sure some people blindly believe in science, but all religious followers blindly believe in religion, because that's all faith is. Blind belief.
You do realize that you're talking about parallel universes, right? Everyone knows what that is.
No he's not. He means that all unvierses are located in same physical space, separated. They are not parallel, but they prevent any matter from traveling inbetween.
Look at philosophical and artistic figures throughout history.
Ben Franklin? Stoned.
The Beatles? High.
Rolling Stone? Rolling Stoned.
Nostradamus: HAD to be high to think of that stupid shit.
H.P. Lovecraft: Is there honestly any question?

That's all science is.
That's all science is.
Thanks for the input, credible expert with decades of experience in this field of study.
The universe is everything.
There is no other one.
Proof the difference.
Actually, the fact our Universe is so damn finetuned to allow us living in it implicates the multiverse hypothesis. This is called anthropic principle.
We all wait with baited breath for the next words of wisdom.

Goddamnit Avon
....I just meant athiest in the sense of not BELIEVING but maybe more swayed by science.

It doesn't take a college degree to see that religion and science are both one and the same, philosophically.
I think a wizard did it.
Yes, but what is beyond everything?
Beyond is just defined in space. You can't ask "what's behind the uni/multi/omniverse" because there is no space.
Same for "what was before the universe". You can't answer this since time started with the universe.
It doesn't take a college degree to see that religion and science are both one and the same, philosophically.
Excuse me for questioning the philosophical wisdom of a person who is only half as old as my dick.
It doesn't take a college degree to see that religion and science are both one and the same, philosophically.
Except one is fucking retarded, and completely simple, and the other takes decades of hard work research and planning and pays off in many ways.
I'm saying the rub burn sores on my dick have more philosophical experience than a 15 year old.
My theory is that we live in the only universe that ever existed/exists
This is wrong. Big bang is proven. So it started once. It can't "have and will exist for ever".
Goddamnit fucking automerge
Avon goddamnit why do you keep doing this to me.
Excuse me for questioning the philosophical wisdom of a person who is only half as old as my dick.
Sorry, this is all I see when you post: :smug:.
Sorry, this is all I see when you post: :smug:.
And all I see when you post are vast oversimplifications of an issue you know absolutely nothing about.
You don't know what I do and do not know.
