K so in another universe you wont have this idea and you will shut up
Only in another universe, we probably wouldn't have computers or anything else do now.
It seems Facepunch interprets "theory" as "drug-induced babbling" nowadays.
K so in another universe you wont have this idea and you will shut up
Kinda wishing I was in that one.
All theories start with guessing.
Still not a theory.

Except that the multiverse is a valid theory proposed in theoretical physics.
Still not a theory.
Yes it is, fyi.
It seems Facepunch interprets "theory" as "drug-induced babbling" nowadays.
100 years ago, scientists would interpret everything we say about the universe or omniverse as just drug-induced babbling or just plain insanity. Learn to be open-minded.
Except that the multiverse is a valid theory proposed in theoretical physics.
The way the OP worded it sounded like he was about to start a cult. That, skim reading, and Facepunch's poor track record with theories led to misinterpretation on my part, for which I apologize.

Good science is built on skepticism. Don't knock it.
Good science is built on skepticism. Don't knock it.
I wasn't saying that people should never be skeptic.
K so in another universe you wont have this idea and you will shut up
In other universes within our multiverse, differences as drastic as the destruction of one galaxy caused by the slightly different tilt in the direction of a comet or something as small as in a coin toss, the coin came up as heads instead of tails. However in another Multiverse (i.e. outside ours) they would have such differing laws shaping them out in ways we couldn't imagine.
Yep. Not every universe has the same laws of physics or anything like that.
'multiverses' wouldn't exist, the universe is EVERYTHING
Merely semantics :P

Butterfly effect :D
Have you ever heard of string theory? M-theory? Supergravity? No? Well, good job, you've just relived the teenage moments of people like Michio Kaku and Stephen Hawking, minus any sort of additional contribution to humanity.
Excellent work.
Nothing you said made sense.

If God were proven to exist tomorrow, I'd still sacrifice all my goats to Michio Kaku. (Excess goats, that is, with the usual allowance to the Great Old Ones, of course)
I wasn't saying that people should never be skeptic.
Yes you are. "Have an open mind" is New-Age for "Stop trying to find flaws"
Yes you are. "Have an open mind" is New-Age for "Stop trying to find flaws"
Whatever you say.
Whatever you say.
It's true. The whole point of scientific skepticism is to have a closed mind, not to accept anything for what it seems on the surface. If it seems amazing, question its validity. If it seems normal, question its validity.
Wow.
Wow.
Sorry is this just too far above your head or something?
black holes make new universes
therefore there is a multiverse and each universe is an alternate reality but the laws of nature are the same.
I have one. How about the theory about soon banning you!
Wow.
Good reply. Really worth the post. Contributed a lot to the debate. Made everyone completely re-think their way of thinking. A++
Sounds to me like you were watching a television show called "The Universe." It's not your theory, and you have no right to claim it is. You said that you're learning about Quantum Physics, which although intertwined with this theory, is in no way the foundation for it. You're obviously going to bragging rights, which you certainly shall not attain.
Get out. Please, before you make your self look like more of a fool.
My theory is that the universe is a zoo designed to keep stupid people and theories contained.

It's not their theory either.
It's not their theory either.
I understand that, I was stating the fact that that's a commonly watched science program that mentions said theory often.
Hmm you two should have a nice polite discussion in a room where no one needs to hear your babbling
I understand that, I was stating the fact that that's a commonly watched science program that mentions said theory often.
What scientific program? I read about this stuff not watch tv on it.
what do you think of my theory?
This roughly resembles string theory. But none the less, it is not your idea!
