ITT: Everyone thinks they know best because they're convinced they were bullied more than everyone else.
Bullying leads to increased risk of suicide in the victim even in adulthood and being a bully leads to increased risk of committing violent crimes and being involved in illicit drug use
Haha. That's just stupid. Suicide is stupid regardless of what's happening in your life. Committing violent crimes. Stupid. Drug use. Stupid
I was bullied when i was younger and now I have shit self confidence and I often spend a lot of my time hating myself for various things.
So... does that explain your avatar?
What alarms me is that large chunks of this thread are full retard. I really didn't expect a large group of people to believe that bullying of some form is good and acceptable.
Yeah man, natural selection, removing the weaker ones... wait a second... doesn't this involve my avatar somehow?
I've been kinda bullied. Not the straight, punch in the face kind, but the people talking about you behind your back kind. I still get paranoid about what other people think of me, but mostly I've become more socially active, and I've made some really great friends. I'm big on self-reflection and I'm a firm believer that everything can stand for some improvement. I'm still a bit on the strange side, but particularly with adults I present myself very well and am very good at making conversation. Sometimes I have anger problems, but it's been at an all time low, thanks to the great people in my life not making me explode. I've just been overall much more self-confident and it's changed me completely. People who have been bullied; my advice is to try to realise that eventually there may be a place where you can be comfortable and accepted, and that as hard as it may be to go out in public, the more you do it the easier it becomes.
You can't be kinda bullied, what you received was straight bullying. Bullying isn't just physical.
Drug use. Stupid
Unless you avoid all consumption of sugar, caffeine, etc., you're a huge hypocrite.
Haha. That's just stupid. Suicide is stupid regardless of what's happening in your life.
Let's see. Someone who is driven to suicide is not in the right frame of mind because of what's been happening to them. At this point, their judgement could make them "stupid", sure, but it's not because they are inherently stupid, it's a result of other, outside actions driving them to it.
Unless you avoid all consumption of sugar, caffeine, etc., you're a huge hypocrite.
I wasn't aware that sugar was a drug.
I wasn't aware that sugar was a drug.
I smoke it erryday
I wasn't aware that sugar was a drug.
No, he likes taking things to extremes because we all can't be perfect people of humanity like Sanius :3:
Unless you avoid all consumption of sugar, caffeine, etc., you're a huge hypocrite.
I wouldn't say sugar is a drug (as it doesn't alter normal bodily function per se, but is rather an integral part of normal bodily function), but caffeine certainly is.
I was bullied when i was younger and now I have shit self confidence and I often spend a lot of my time hating myself for various things.
dont worry ur not alone i hate u as well
Haw haw.
stop bullying me
I wasn't aware that sugar was a drug.
It's a substance that's harmful in large quantities and can cause a psychological addiction, it fits the criteria of a drug pretty well
Virtually anything in large quantities can mess with you.
Virtually anything in large quantities can mess with you.
I think the original point was that some substances not necessarily designated as drugs can be just as harmful as substances that are
I think the original point was that some substances not necessarily designated as drugs can be just as harmful as substances that are
Or like bullying :byodood:
My dad grew up in Chicago where he faced some of the worst bullying I've ever heard of. It actually got so bad that for a time he would carry a bottle of acid with him to throw in someones face if they started to go after him. I'm pretty sure that when people start carrying bottles of acid, it's a sign that bullying might not be a good thing, for either the bully or the victim.
One of my friends was bullied when he was a kid by some of his peers for being overweight. They would do the usual name calling and all that. He actually did something about it, and didn't sit around acting like a giant pussy. He fought back and he changed his appearance, and guess what no more bullying imagine that. I am all for the whole being against bullying were it would be so severe to push someone to committing suicide, but no one should let it get to that point. Just stand up for yourself and change the situation, or stop giving a fuck and hang with a different crowd.
The problem isn't the bullying, people teach their kids that they are all 'mr/miss special' and as such have no idea what to in that sort of circumstance, that makes then seem like weaklings and as such ideal targets for their relentless taunting. This causes a terrible loop where the bully does some bullying, cause the victim to become unsure, and appear even weaker, and so on and so forth. It doesn't help that some people are just dicks who have no place in society.
self esteem is bullshit

Some people don't have the will or the ability to stand up for themselves, so all they can do is suffer or die. Imagine that.
