School's been out for 3 days here, with only 4" of snow.
Yeah, most countries over here don't have snow days.
Probably because we have testicles or something
Although even though they're not necessary, I totally wouldn't mind not having to go to school :v:
I can't actually have snowdays anyway, I should mention, unless the internet goes done since my school is online.
where have you been
in kent it snowed yesterday
I hear Spokane got so much snow in December if someone sneezed funny it would have avalanched into eastern Wyoming.
i live in canada, we had a little storm last night. today school is canceled and all the snow is already gone lol
Every town around us had at least a delayed start. We had normal school.
I was about 20 minutes late even though I left early because of the road conditions.
And this has happened in the past (07?) where every school district around us had snow days, and we ended up snowed into school for about 4 hours.
I live in Newton MA by the way, it's a suburb of Boston.
It has to hit -45 For them to close the schools here. and the only reason they do is cuz the school buses (Run on Natural gas here) have trouble running if its below -45. Closed for 4" of snow, hell we got that much last night and im still at work right now.
I got out of school for the whole week. :toot:
All of you guys saying that you wish school would close for more days, think about it. Instead of ending the school year the normal date, it has to be extended to make up those snow days. It's ok to have one or two days off here and there because of bad weather but don't wish for two weeks off; it will affect your summer break.
Us people here in Pittsburgh have the day off and we have, what, four inches as well? We had a nasty blizzard last year, maybe we're all paranoid...
Not where I went.

vancouver lmao
Out of the 3 schools that were open in the entire state, mine was one of them. This shit was during a massive blizzard too.
my school has been out all week. counting last weekend and this weekend plus mlk day, i've been out 10 days. mini holidays~
HA, here in wyoming it's like:
The weather for tomorrow will be 30 inches of snow, temps around -30 degrees or so and near hurricane speed winds, pretty typical day in the winter.
Oh and btw, SCHOOLS ARE OPEN! :smug:
Every normal person here: :frog:
Well, they called a two hour delay. That's good enough for me! Makes my most boring classes the shortest.
I live in Miami.
Hahah. Living in Canada, I have never had a 'snow day' at school in my entire life.
I remember my teacher telling me one day that it must be at least -50 degrees outside without the wind chill for schools to close down.
celsius or fahrenheit?
Here in Colorado, our school district insists on there being at least 1+ feet of snow before they cancel school, and even then, for one day or less only. The only time we got out for more than a day was when we had upwards of 4 feet, and we got three days. Ended up driving around in walls of ice for three weeks.
Pfft. I live in Sweden and I've never had a snowday in my entire life.
Apparently it snows everywhere but California. I haven't seen snow ever :smith:.
They shut down Fort Gordon after <1" inch of snow.
The Post re-opened the next day though. :v:
I live in central NC and a few weeks ago we got a foot of snow. I've never seen so much snow down here. School was canceled for 2 days and earlier this week on Tuesday school was canceled because of icy roads and there was no sign of snow at all.
we usually have 3 snow days every two years at my school
90% of the time people don't come to school on a freezing day = car won't start because the oil has turned to thick, stringy glue.
In Southern California, if we get .8 inches school gets cancelled.
im in Georgia and the planned holidays with mlkj day caused me to have a 10 day weekend
I live in Ohio, my school had just one snow day this week :<. Although I'm not going to school tomorrow because I am sick D:
I had one cancellation and one half-day. Was nice.
Wisconson schools don't close for less than 4 feet of snow and -20 degrees Fh.
You lucky bastards! :argh:

What shit with wheels are you people driving over there?
the snow all melted and we never got a day off :(
it was chest high here too
What's up with America suddenly acting surprised whenever there's snow, and then they have to close everything? It's the same procedure every year.
not this year
there's way more snow than usual
