AFAIK that's too much dopamine. Very similar to schizophrenia. D2 receptor agonism I believe.
Only because it's molecule is very similar to many chemical structures that are produced in our brain.
This and the fact that it can be detected in the bloodstream (larger amounts are present in schizophrenics).
Upon introducing a dopamine-like chemical into your body you get that high that you'll never achieve again, your body notices this and closes off dopamine receptor sites to adjust to the new influx of dopamine. All in all. Cocaine is a a hellva drug.
Doesn't close them off. It just downregulates them.

You're right, my bad. :v: weed distorts my memory of my basic psychology class.
When thinking about drugs, it's good to realise that our body is a control system and that it's constantly fightimg against external influences.

No but saying the brain produces LSD, a man made chemical, is completely false and not even under "speculation". And quit fucking nit picking and act as though I'm the one at fault, I said the drug he was thinking of is DMT, not that what he was saying was correct about it.

True. Though I think the effect is more like DXM.
DMT and other tryptamines are found everywhere in nature. I would not be surprised if the dimethyl is indeed produced in in the brain naturally. I believe it has been confirmed in the brain of rats.
Weed makes my head feel like it's being massaged, it makes everything look smoother, all of my senses are noticeably enhanced. I zone out frequently, and smile alot. It doesn't make me laugh my ass off or trip out like it does some people. It puts me in a really level state of mind.
Amphetamine - An experience of bliss, joy and focus in everything. True bonding and friendship through verbal verbosity in social occasions. A remedy for my ADHD. A portal to freedom from the shackles of social isolation caused by my Asperger Syndrome.
Benzodiazepines - The mind is intrinsically tranquil. Out of this tranquility, anxiety and confusion are born. If one sees these, the mind is tranquil once more.
Cannabis - I find this makes movies awesome, to the point of existing in a state of perpetual flabbergasting.
MDMA - No words can describe this intense love and ecstasy vibrating throughout your body in the full body orgasm that redefines the word pleasure.
LSD - Picture yourself in a boat on a river, with tangerine trees and marmalade skies. Somebody calls you, you answer quite slowly, a girl with kaleidoscope eyes. Cellophane flowers of yellow and green, towering over your head. Look for the girl with the sun in her eyes and she's gone.
It's odd that such a seemingly simple question is so hard to answer. I guess, in terms of fairly obviously mind altering drugs (alcohol, THC) it's nice to have a break from reality every once in a while and experience things from a different perspective.
Yet to try anything else (except for stuff like caffeine, but that's not even worth a mention). I want to try LSD and shrooms, and while I'm yet to try them I suppose my description for alcohol and THC would apply to them, too. I've never hallucinated and I find then notion of the mind being able to make visuals up absolutely fascinating, so... I wanna experience that shit. Break from reality and whatnot.
half to time i get high and the other half i get high

I was hardly addressing you so you can go ahead an unrustle them jimmies, boy.
I've never been one to endorse or advocate drugs, sex and rock n' roll, but they've always worked for me.
Don't ask "What do drugs for you?", but "What can you do for drugs?".

Oh my jimmies are staying rustled :v:
Weed does all sorts of different things for me, it mongs me out mostly and I love to watch comedy and funny things in general. Though I've noticed that if it's a weed that gives you a really strong head high (including closed eye visuals and images in your mind that are kind of protruding your vision) then I end up over analysing people and the way they behave far too much, faces become quite caricatured, and just general other weirdness.
Alcohol just gets me really excitable, and instead of wanting to get all over women, I instead decide to jump all over guys... Not really sure why, it just seems like a good idea at the time. Nothing wrong with a little bromance!
And MDMA? It's outstanding, and can only be described like this:

Except I'm far more excitable and pumped up than that. Me and Tania decided to roll around in a huge woolen coat I have while we were sat on my living room floor, last time she was at my house. Good times.
I like stimulants for studying and learning, also pretty nice for lifting weights. They make me very social too. Opiates are good for a relaxing evening by myself and nice in low doses for social stuff. Benzos are my big red panic button when I'm flipping shit or coming down hard off of something. I try to avoid alcohol lately, makes me feel like ass. Weed is just... fucking awesome for goddamn anything. And cigarettes, well I consider them a necessity for some situations. My food pyramid includes the consumption of copious amounts of nicotine. It's like a vital food group for me.

I think it's like this for all of us nicotine addicts..
..and I like it!

Man I really want to quit for good but damn is it hard. I've quit for over a month three times before but everybody around me smokes.
Bah fuck quitting, life is too short to go slow.
Besides, I trust medical advancements in 30-50 years have progressed far enough that cancer and all that jazz won't be worse than a cold :eng101:

Have you even seen I am Legend?
Have you even seen I am Legend?
It's a calculated risk :v:
weed makes me feel a lot more social and able to actually smile at the guy behind the counter in stores and it makes me and my friends empty our hearts out to eachother and shit
alcohol makes me tell funnier jokes and feel like I've turned up irl mouse smoothing or something, also sleepy and grumpy later on

yeah the potential to create the molecule lies within very close reach of almost every living thing, so obviously it's got to be a pretty important molecule when talking about the chemistry of life

Well it's important in that it's a pesticide for plants and very easy to synthesize for them, just like thousands of other tryptamines and phenethylamines. DMT (and others like psilocybin and mescaline) just happen to be a few that we trip balls on, because they pass the blood-brain-barrier and start jazzing out in their own, special, fractal way.
Weed helps me concentrate on shit usually. Smoke it during the night when everything's quite and just zone out in peace and quiet and also makes me feel less paranoid about it. I'll also turn on some tunes to add to the atmosphere. Sometimes it makes me tired and unproductive (just sit staring at the screen, listening to music). Makes me think a lot about stuff usually also.
I usually do pot to draw better aswell, but for an odd reason I get easily disturbed by some VERY QUIET noises and then probably forget what I was doing and then just go watch TV. I have used shrooms, but just only for the luls. Shrooms are hard to get here, I'd like to get a shroom spore and grow my own.

Lifting weights on stimulants? I don't know how good it is for muscle building. Doesn't stimulant make you use all energy that is reserved for cell multiplication and stuff for movement and thinking?
