Guys, stop arguing and just listen to the music. It's much nicer that way.
I agree. Ignore everything.
He keeps talking about how music is an experience all the time and all that artsy-fartsy bullshit nobody really cares about.
Well, while music can change your mentality sometimes, I don't think you can "experience" music unless you're high. Or drunk. Or a combination thereof.

I personally think taking chemicals is cheating. There are ways to naturally get high.

I completely disagree on this.
There are a few albums that made me really experience them, such as Hurtbreak Wonderland by World's End Girlfriend, which I just found a few days ago.
Very emotional album, went through pretty much all possible emotions in the small time that the album lasts.
Although come to think of it, the way some people have expressed things about albums makes me think taking cannabis, might actually enhance your creative imagination. I can't talk from experience though.

Maybe that's how dull people experience music. There's only one way to experience music for me, and that is alone, with big bass headphones, and sober as you can be.

I think about how beautiful lyrics are more when I'm high, so I always appreciate more lyrical songs. My friend finds that she appreciates the melodic qualities more when she's high. It just opens pathways in your head slightly differently, doesn't enhance your creative imagination so much as put a different lense on it I think.

No way.
Being high while listening to music is a way to have a different view on the music you're listening to.
You can experience music just as much while sober.

And THC is a naturally occurring chemical in the plant cannabis.
Terrific. Not quite sure how my post was either of those things, but whatever, I wasn't trying to be a douche. ON-TOPICNESS: A song without vocals is an instrumental.
No one was saying you were a douche btw. Just comparing you to another poster.
Well, while music can change your mentality sometimes, I don't think you can "experience" music unless you're high. Or drunk. Or a combination thereof.
The whole purpose of music is to evoke an experience. I'm sorry, but that is just a ludicrous and downright stupid suggestion.
Music can be a more powerful experience than any substance you can name. It just depends on who you are and if you're willing to listen to what it's really saying.
I'm sorry if I offended you in any way, because that was not my intention.
I like Akayz, but a lot of his posts are not very contentful, if you understand what I mean.
Didnt offend me. But its rather annoying seeing a thread where someone needed some help and people just derail the thread and starts bashing another member. Not cool.

His question was answered, so there wasn't any need for this thread after the first few posts, so of course it'll be derailed.

People get insulted here by other people a lot, most of it is joking, but you get used to it tbh.
Woah, there's a huge discussion here about stuff I don't wanna barge into.
I believe the answer you're looking for it an instrumental OP. Yes you can get more technical about it but from a simple casual listener's point of view the word "instrumental" is right on the money.
