My dad had me count how many CDs he, my brother, and I own collectively... Got to about 400 and I gave up.
Also, I found these.

All three of those are Chinese bootlegs my dad got in Vietnam.
Would love do get some Japanese pressings of Beatles records. The Japanese do press a good record :3:
What George album should I go for now? I'm thinking about Cloud 9 or Gone Troppo at the moment.

Finished all his 70s stuff?
I think Extra Texture is brilliant.
No, I've hardly just begun. I'm starting to collect each of the Beatles' individual stuff. I've bought a greatest hits for each of the Beatles (sans John cause I already have all his solo albums). For Paul I've got Venus and Mars, and Band of the Run. George has All Things Must Pass and for Ringo...well I only have his greatest hits. :v:

And how do you expect me to do that?
By messenger pigeon of course!
Like I said last night, I need Ringo stuff.

Beaucoups of Blues is awesome :pcgaming:
My father hates Paul McCartney for some reason. Whenever I ask him why, he just gives non-answers, like "because he's Paul McCartney". Has Paul ever actually done something that warrants hatred towards him?

Obviously he's been Paul McCartney. I don't see why there needs to be any more reason.

Some people have an irrational hatred for certain characteristics. It's a natural thing, such as hating metal or hip hop.. or even The Beatles.
It's foolishness, but hey... nothing you can do about it.
Off topic but how many of you guys would watch if I streamed Watchmen sometime, probably this weekend?
Keep in mind I have the Director's Cut which is 3 hours long, so you'll need to set aside a good chunk of time to watch it. I've seen it at least 8 times so I don't really mind. :v:

My hate of metal is not irrational.

Probably is
If you are able to blank your mind from the hatred and simply accept the characteristics of only the music. Then you are able to get over irrational hate that is caused by outside influence.

I've listened to almost every style of metal I can think of. I don't enjoy it at all. I mean sure, there's the odd song that you could consider metal that I like, none that I can name off the top of my head though. It's the same for rap.
Try and figure out why you don't enjoy the type of music. It is most likely to be a culture issue.
In fact, I'm going to go ahead and say you are unable to relate to the cultures that are presented due to your experiences.
I tell people who don't enjoy The Beatles to do exactly the same, but these lectures aren't likely to work. :3:

It's probably because I'm not a fan of lyrics about blood, death, rape, murder, etc.
Oh and I'm not to into the whole juggajiggalugga thing either.
That's why the entirety of the metal songs I can stand are more like rock songs than anything else.

That's not what metal or hip hop is about at all :smith:
That's not what metal or hip hop is about at all :smith:
I'm talking about metal, not hip hop.
And that's what every metal song I've been given to listen to was about.
[editline]27th March 2011[/editline]
Honestly I'm probably generalizing it exactly the way kids' parents did when metal was new. I'm like them in many aspects. :v:

What have you been listening to Cannibal Corpse or some shit? :psyduck:
I'd stick with Progressive Metal... you're much more likely to like it. Listen to what I posted above.
Again, I'm talking about metal, not hip hop. There's plenty of hip hop songs I like.
Is the song you posted actually metal? The lack of juggajiggalugga is making me think it isn't.
[editline]27th March 2011[/editline]
Oh there it is.
I'm not much of a metalhead, but I can find the time to get a true joy out of it.
I suggest you listen to Progressive Rock, things like Pink Floyd and Genesis.
Abbey Road is very much a progressive album and if you liked that enough, the genre shouldn't be new to you :3:

Well yeah, but that's rock. :v:
Also, keep in mind though, my favorite songs include songs like this.

On a side note, I love how games like Mafia II give me access to much better quality versions of songs I love than I'm used to. It's hard to find a decent quality version of a song from the 40s. Especially hard with a song from the 1900's, if I can find them at all.
There's a few metal songs I like, but I hate most of it.
But I am horrifyingly biased because metal-heads freak me the fuck out and I would like to not be around them ever.
What metal songs?
Mostly the dumb lame ones I've heard on guitar hero back when the game wasn't shit. I don't actively seek out metal.
Lame.
