I actually took some Beatles songs off my iPod today. Felt bad for a sec and then I realized that they were only from the Anthology and weren't getting much playtime anyways. I still have all the albums though. So it's all good.
I have Ram, Chaos and Creation in the Backyard and Plastic Ono Band on my ipod. I don't like keeping massive amounts of music on my ipod, prefer rotating it :3:
Yeah I had all of Ram on there but then I cleared it to make room for Band on the Run because I prefer that album better. Blasphemy, I know.

I used to avoid the music section because I thought it would be really uptight any whiny. Then a few months ago I actually checked it out and now I like reading through this thread and a few others.

I just watched that beat alls episode of the powerpuff girls, it's awesome.
I just watched that beat alls episode of the powerpuff girls, it's awesome.
I thought it was a really weird episode when I was a kid but it was in Swedish and I hadn't even heard about The Beatles then, watched it just now and it's amazing how they made so many references into it.
:siren:5000th POST GO GO GO:siren: Dedicating this shit to the ever glorious King Ringo. Bow the fuck down to this man. He was the best Beatle ever and you know it. Stop pretending you don't like him. Nobody appreciates him and they say he had no talent.
Many drummers acknowledge Starr as an influence, including Steve Gorman of The Black Crowes, Dave Grohl of Nirvana, Jen Ledger of Skillet, Max Weinberg of the E Street Band, Danny Carey of Tool, Liberty DeVitto of Billy Joel's band, Nicko McBrain of Iron Maiden, Eric Carr of Kiss, Phil Rudd of AC/DC, Orri Páll Dýrason of Sigur Rós, the former Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy, Pedro Andreu of Heroes del Silencio and others.
Well all the people who said he had no talent can eat shit. Listen to those fucking drums. If your ears aren't peeing right now you have no soul. The guy turned 70 last year and he's still kicking ass in concert. His solo career is fucking amazing. He's one of my biggest idols, if not the biggest. I will do everything in my power to see him in concert. And if I ever meet him that day will be the greatest day of my life. If you hate Ringo I hate you. Long live the King. Regards, Hobo.
I still have a few gigs left on my iPod, right now I'm doing my best to find music other than The Beatles.
Holy shit, lmao. One of my friends who watched Lady Gaga's Monster Ball Special on HBO told me she saw Paul McCartney in the audience during Bad Romance. I was like yeah, yeah, right. So, she links me this video here: I thought, huh, well, ok it sorta looks like him, no proof though. Then I see this video: I fucking wat'd hard. Apparently, the girl dancing beside Sir Paul is his wife-to-be, a New Yorker businesslady.
If I was sitting that close to Paul, I would be having a seizure.
Sadly, I don't think the girl to his right...nor the folks behind him knew that they were sitting that close to a Beatle.
why cant i be a beatle
If I was sitting that close to Paul, I would be having a seizure.
Oh he works as a paramedic now?
there are quite a few tracks on the anthology series that should have been released as singles/ album tracks
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-13317080 :v: Paul you player.
Termites kill Beetles.
They've been together 4 years but he divorced 3 years ago. Nice job setting an example Paul.
My mom showed me something on Facebook. One of the people she used to know during highschool goes around to Yard Sales and makes blog-posts about the awesome things he finds. Recently, he went to one and found George Harrison, Live in Japan on CD. He got it for $3. I was pissed. why can't I live in Texas (where he found the CD)
:frogc00l: Texas is where it's AT.
I have family in Texas
Been listening to some of Lennon's solo albums, noticed that the guitar in I Know (I Know) on Mind Games is a reworking of the guitar on I've Got A Feeling
Every time I enter this thread I have to fight the urge to sing whatever beatles song is stuck in my head at the time. 'sing' as in post the lyrics that I'm singing out loud.
hey look you're a gold now cool
Rock 'n' Roll is an awesome album, partially because I listened to a lot of fifties music before I even got into the Beatles, and know the songs. They're all great covers.
This album is UNBELIEVABLY good. Also his most egotistical song is on it :iia:
