These are all bands I'm into.
Basically, I only listen to about 10 bands at this present moment in time. I really need to expand my musical horizons.
I finally watched Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. Oh man, I'd seen the Dewey meets The Beatles scene before, but God, the other parts in the movie. When he meets Buddy Holly, The Big Bopper, Elvis, I thought I'd die when Jack White was impersonating Elvis.
Back to the different muscial horizons, I the CDs I retrieved from my dad's extensive library are: The London Howlin' Wolf Sessions, Muddy Waters' Greatest, The Baddest of George Thorogood and the Destroyers, What's Going On, and Santana's Abraxas. I plan on today probably going to pick up McCartney and McCartney II, if Best Buy or FYE has it.
edit: I just found this picture lol. I think I like the Beatles with face paint.
Besides soul those are the only things I listen to if I do end up bored of those 3 bands.
I never get bored with music because I keep rotating. If it seems like I've listened to an artist enough, I'll move it over.
I haven't listened to George Harrison in a while yet I have probably all of his albums.
Once I get back into listening to it, I'll love it.

You'll get bored very quickly like that.
Beatles Weekend 2011 is off to a good start.

I forgot how much I missed the Beatles. :v:
I was casually listening to Helter Skelter and, as the song finished, I heard something, something I'd never heard before. I heard John say 'How's that?', which I knew was in the song, but I'd never managed to hear no matter how hard I tried. And I just randomly heard it without trying... The strange thing is, I haven't changed headphones or anything... I need to casually listen to more Beatles songs whilst subtly listening out for the background chatter.
Revolution 9 go.

Lol, I appreciate the effort, but these are all bands that I'm into too. Except for the first, that was new!
Alright. I've returned and I reaped the rewards. I got McCartney and McCartney II. You'll be happy to know that along with those two, Paul is planning on adding more to the "McCartney Remaster" Archive, including Wings at the Speed of Sound and Ram. I'm guessing these will be re-released sometime this year.

Ram? Finally.
I'd really like some outtakes from the Ram sessions too.

My dad's favorite band, he has a ton of them.

Try some Bon Iver and Fleet Foxes.
Never heard of them, I'll give them a listen!

Try some Nick Drake and PJ Harvey.
I think I'll pick up the McCartney reissues when they come out.

You might get bored quickly, but I still like the few bands that I listen to a lot.
I'd like to expand more, but it's not like I'm getting bored.
I have to stop myself form listening to the beatles or the police.
I listened to nothing but the Beatles all day every day for a year straight.
That's when I realized I should branch out a bit. :v:
Forgot to post these.

Well "bored" is probably the wrong word. But perhaps "a loss in interest" in music as a whole may occur. That's not a good thing.

I still sort of rotate through the artists.
I used to listen to the beatles a lot as a kid.
I stopped listening to them as much and started listening to some other things like Boston or the Police, especially after I saw the police live.
And I keep rotating based on my interests at the time. Like after I saw the Gorillaz live it was all I listened to, and during the winter all I listened to was the police.
And then I found this thread and I got interested in the Beatles again.
It rotates, and yes I'd like to expand, but it's not like I'm getting bored of music as a whole

Anyway I just bought the Big Come Up by the Black Keys.

My dad manages to find the weirdest and coolest Beatles collectibles. I have a Blue Meanie thingy in my room and my brother has a Yellow Submarine, I think I've posted them before.
Is your dad a collector or does he just randomly go and pick up and odd Beatles item?
