pipes of peace and say say say jumped and skipped
Most likely something wrong with your turntable rather than the record. Try more weight on the tonearm.
The pipes of peace record had major scratches on side one so the 2 first songs, pipes of peace and say say say jumped and skipped so that was really disappointing, but I had those songs on lp already and side 2 and the rest of side one sounded really good. But anyway, since christmas is coming up and my brother, even though he is twelve said playing music is fun. So I was thinking about talking up with my parents so we could buy him one of these. I don't know that much about instruments really so some feedback on this would be nice.
Don't buy an instrument just cause it resembles one another musician uses. If you're serious about him learning the bass get a more traditional shape maybe. If I were you I'd go to the guitar discussion thread about it.

If he had that höfner replica I could buy it off him, I would not do that with another bass though because I rather play guitar. I'll think about what you said and ask the guitar thread
How much should be enough?
a gram or so.
ok finished every song on beatles rock band! some of them I need to look up in order to be reminded of how they go, and sometimes there are parts where I don't remember the exact order so I need to read along or make stuff up, and of course I don't play all the little tiny variations that paul does, but it's pretty damn close!
I watched the making of Love documentary it was very interesting
There is no way it's called 'Making of Love'. That's too unwholesome for a band that wrote such family friendly songs like 'Run For Your Life'.
Don't forget "Why Don't We Do It In the Road?"
HOLY SHI!!! George Harrison's documentary released NEXT WEDNESDAY! :pwn:
That's one Wednesday from now!
This is an amazing cover... wow.
no its called something else, I forget what I think All Together Now but it was a "making of..." documentary about Love And one of the special features is called Making Love
Has anybody ever heard of a tribute band named "Beatlemania: Magic"? I just heard they're playing awfully close to me soon, but don't know if it would be worth seeing them. Oh, also, just got this in an email: http://www.georgeharrison.com/#/media/videos/living-material-world-clip-here-comes-sun
oh yeah I totally forgot, but I'm gonna see the fab faux tomorrow night.

RELEASE IT ALREADY!!!
So yesterday I got 2 double lps named "The Beatles Live at the Star Club in Hamburg" and according to this site the record who has the songs "Where Have You Been All My Life" "Sheila" "I'm Gonna Sit Right Down And Cry Over You" "Till There Was You" is a bit rare and it turns out I have one of each. Any idea if any of those actually are rare? I highly doubts so but hey, they sound great even though the original recording is pretty dull.
The only song I recognize from that is 'Till There Was You'.

That's a 1977 release so don't guarantee much return, unless you're lucky.
I didn't get them for the money though, I'm going to keep them, maybe give one to my old music teacher as christmas gift/birthday present
Yeah. I've heard a bit about it before, and it is an "unofficial official" bootleg iirc. If you had found the Decca cut, that would've been cool. I hear Sir Paul keeps the original cut inside his own personal vault.

Meet the Beatles* anyway, the fab faux was awesome. They played various songs for the first half, and then they played through all of magical mystery tour during the second half, and ended with get back and money. [editline]2nd October 2011[/editline] i recorded a bunch on my ipod and some of the recordings actually sound pretty good, which surprised me.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/With_The_Beatles
Meet The Beatles is awesome too. Best US release imo.
I'd have to say MMT is the best one, but that's only because that's considered part of the main albums and it's my favorite of that. Meet The Beatles is cool shit though.
i dont know why i corrected you, they are both pretty similar it was late i guess
I have the same birthday as John Lennon. And I fucking LOVE the Beatles!
