I remember thinking that Quakes graphics were the best ever and video games would never look better than that.
Old technology looked cooler. Ten years ago people would look at the things we have now and go WOW IT'S THE FUUUUTURE!

Fallout 2 is better than Fallout 3. For all this great improvements in regards to graphics, we've regressed on story development in this case. I'm not denying that the general trend shows significant progress and a positive correlation between time and the advancement of technology, but I'm just making the point that it isn't necessarily positive in all regards.

We gone from our first flight to landing on the moon in 66 years. Just sayin'
185. We had these crazy things called "balloons" in the day.
Powered flight. You know, the kind where we do not depend on outside factors to move an inch. Balloons more or less just drift and float. With them, you are forced to wait on some wind to move somewhere. Even then, it may not be where you want.
Powered flight. You know, the kind where we do not depend on outside factors to move an inch.
Modern day flight relies on an all powerful figure not smiting the engine with an iron fist. What's your point?

It was by the late '20s that they became extremely popular.
I can't wait for this whole quantum computing thing to become an affordable computer. I also can't wait until we can turn anti matter into energy. Also when we prove global warming is just another bullshit scheme to get tax money I can die happy.
Atomic computers aren't the next step, photonic computers are. Baby steps towards the first operational Photonic CPU, and it'll produce an extremely low amount of heat, as well as the fact that if two light beams touch each other, they won't short out like electrical circuits, so they can be much, much smaller.

Pretty sure they work by firing lasers at a beryllium ion.
