I didn't know they made superchickens for the Miata. Good on ya for wanting one instead of a turbocharger!
I'd rather be turbo'd but the extra work for turboing a 1.8L BP isn't my thing.
Also, supercharger will be more fun for the style of driving I do. and not a lot of people do it anyway.
SC means almost instant turk
From what I've read, the guys that have run the SC kits on their NA's have had waaaay more issues than buying prebuilt turbo kits from Flyin' Miata. I know a lot of people that are pleased with the SC kits but the turbos seem to be better suited for such a small displacement motor.

Exactly. This is why I prefer supercharging(non-centrifugal, at least) to turbocharging any day. Way more fun for daily driving.
there was a guy around in my town with a 200hp supercharged 4AGE in a KE70
it was p hot.
Those flares on it Alec. Hnnnnnnnnngh
so oldschool

it's a pretty nice car for $900. Just needs a strut, headliner, and I think the sunroof needs new weatherstripping.
keep it/stance/track it!
Whats it say on the back, can't quite read. From the engine it looks to be either 320/325/328
325i haha, I want to mod it but at the same time im about to drop 3k on the v8, and probably more for better brakes and bigger wheels.
It has some minor body rust so im going to learn how to weld on it haha.
Get some big M3 or X5 brakes, cheap second hand bilstein/koni suspension, and 18" rim w/ (semi)slicks, camber you can do yourself without much modding or needing camber plates and throw all that weight out. Bam superb track car.

Why?
Its a meh swap, why not an RB or just a turbo KA
Why?

I saw a carbureted 350 swapped into a CR-x and then converted to RWD. The hood closed and everythign cleared except the air cleaner which poked out of the hood. Badass.
I am all for the V8 swap into a japanese anything.

What about it is meh? Will probably be pushing ~250 wheel horsepower reliably because no boost. If something goes wrong I could get parts/ another motor from a junkyard for a couple hundred bucks. Turbo kas are cool and that was the plan, until my friend gave me a deal on the swap and offered to help me throw it in.
And to make reliable 300hp ka-t you are spending a ton of money. A friend of mine did it. RB's are expensive and unreliable. Basically JDM engines cost so much more because they need to be shipped so fuck that. also the vh45de is a nissan v8 so its still semi Japanese lol.
My numbers arent perfect here, but according to wikipedia it makes 278 without variable valve timing, so the manual trans and 1pc driveshaft shouldnt take too much from that, then it has custom headers, and with an intake and tune you can really open them up. And from what I read nissan overbuilt the shit out of them so they run forever. Oh yeah and the VH actually weighs less than a stock KA.

"X5 brakes on" auto suggests "X5 brakes on E36" :v: The results aren't too good, though, a lot of people asking about it, but not so many actually trying, and a couple saying no.
Got a new car yesterday. It was almost sad letting my 2002 Honda go. I've had it for so many years that once I test drove a few cars, I had to get a new one. Not only that but the Honda was on its final stretch, and it would cost more to repair everything than what it's worth. Here's a pic from a while back.

So I traded it in for a grand and put it towards a 2015 Ford Fiesta SE.

And I can say that I feel like the happiest guy in the world driving it around. It's such a big leap from what I was driving.
Got me a Oneplus One phone and it takes pretty darn good pictures, So I decided to take some new screenshots of my car.

I hate having to put a front plate :(
I hate having to put a front plate :(
Haven't ran front plates on either of my cars since January, no hassles here. The other two Civics in our family have never had front plates in our ownership, so 3 years and 2 years on those.
I see about 1 out of every 15-20 cars without a front plate now, I don't think the police even care anymore.

Ah, I thought you would be dropping a ls1 or something.
Honestly it takes all the japan out of the car if you drop a ls1 or 302 in there. I mean yeah it works and you can do it but at the end of the day you just have a camaro or mustang with a nissan body.
who cares about japan or w/e when you have an ls1

I don't like the ls1. They're uninspired lumps of pig iron and pushrods. Give me a Coyote any day. I mean the ls1 is okay, but it's been shoved into so many things that they've gotten a little boring. Everyone and their dog has an ls1 swap Miata or 300zx or 32 Ford. Nowadays it's rarer to see a Ford engine in a '32 ford than a Chevy one. I, for one, applaud the idea of a jap v8 going into a jap car. As bizarre as it sounds it's way more unique than an American V8 in a jap car.
