is ct close enough to be a massbro?
or is there a feud
Got my 2014 Fiesta a week ago, not the ST as I can't afford the fuel or the insurance on my wage but I love it regardless.

I'm looking for my first car and I'm considering Fiesta now, I'm 18 so I threw most cheap/old faster cars that are fun to drive because insurance would bite. Also imports that'll cost a lot in maintenance, which is why I stopped looking at VW and Mazda.
I was looking more at jeeps/trucks first for something to beat around in but there's not really anywhere offroad to go where I live, they're pricey and eat up gas. A new Fiesta is around the price of a lot of used jeeps/trucks I've found with low miles.
I don't know if I'd want to take the plunge for a standard car though, I've ridden passenger in my friend's stick Tacoma and on twisty roads it was damn good fun even with his shifting jerking the truck a bit but it seems kind of daunting especially if I had to drive the thing from a dealer with no experience and risk making an ass of myself in traffic if I stall. I watch videos of someone driving stick and I'm half between "That might be fun" and "That might get old after awhile"
Is the Fiesta ST the kind of car that insurance companies are going to charge more for if I'm young? I'm sure I'd probably end up with the regular Fiesta like you though if I did decide on one.

Boiled down. Everything will be expensive.
Best thing to do is get with your parents insurance and pay them, if your insurance agent is halfway worth a shit she will arrange which driver gets to drive which ever vehicle on the policy. Granted ALL DRIVERS on the policy can drive what ever VEHICLE is on the policy. (Might not apply for non Texas residents.)
Stick vs Auto. HERE WE GO AGAIN.
Get what ever you prefer. A stick will fucking kill you in the city, but they are the most simplistic thing to go onto the drive train of a vehicle. Its like manual windows vs electric, the motors will eventual burn up its just how it goes. Same with auto transmissions, they can last if taken GREAT care and treated like a fragile little bitch that is pysco and will commit suicide any moment.
Now granted some might say Im bias against autos because of recent light of my Audi, well yes. I have learned more about them and their terrible design. No matter what you do the gaskets will fail and it will leak trans fluid. NO MATTER WHAT IT IS. Might be past its 15th birthday, who knows its russian roulette and its here to give you a nice repair bill.
How about this, get a fucking Nissan anything and drive that fucker.
Cant go wrong.
Also you asked in the wrong thread. :v:

just gotta build the back wall and throw the doors on.
I guess its not really normal but we have two shipping containers in my back yard and my dad said fuck it lets put a roof over it
we sort of just kept on adding things, so we decided well fully enclose it and I can wrench on my shit boxes in there :)

Tacomas are ridiculously over priced so thats not a great option. Also...uh import japanese cars are cheap as fuck.
A stick will fucking kill you in the city
I disagree wholeheartedly with that statement, manuals pretty are easy to drive in the city. I've learnt to just use the idle power of the engine to creep like an auto, slipping the clutch little by little, no real damage is done as its low speed. Not to start another argument about auto vs manual, really its up to your preference. if you drive manual all the time the procedure becomes automatic. if you prefer auto get a auto, but take your mates truck for drive and see how you like it, even if it would be comepletely different to a little Fiesta.

That's so badass! How did you knock the sides out to make them into one big space?

Anything performance will cost more, also not all imports are expensive on maintenance or have to be. I have driven my Mercedes 6000 miles and have paid less than $750 in maintenance and repairing what the previous owner neglected. You can pretty much get what you want if you are willing to do maintenance and repairs yourself and you're willing to fork over a check to the man at the insurance company every month.

I am sorry as per every stick I've driven either was a 1 ton or had a racing clutch in it.
I still would't want to deal with a clutch tho in large city traffic.
I've driven in traffic with a stick and it wasn't that bad. Granted it was a sentra coupe with a cable operated stock clutch. I fucking hate the clutch in my supra, but I'm pretty sure the master cyl is on its last leg

That depends where in CT you are my friend

No. Trust me I live on the CT MA border

it is 2 separate containers that we put a roof over the gap between them ill take a day pic when its done
I've always wanted to build something out of old containers. They're just such a cool material for it. I want to build my house out of containers.
Here's my car guys

The Fiesta is designed with city traffic in mind manual or auto, its not a racing car or utility vehicle so the clutch will be nice and easy.

Should of had a v8.
Or a nice juicy TDI engine you fucking people over there get and we don't.
At least you didn't get the old old old body style of the A3, god it has a ugly front just like a vw passat b5.

It isn't mine, I was backing up some files to my external HDD and found that photo I took a few years ago and posted it because of the license plate. But I agree that the front is pretty ugly on those older A3's.
Anyway this is my 740, bought it four years ago as my first car. It serves as my winter car as I bought another car in june this year. I got a 2003 Mustang, only a V6 but I'm happy with it. The V8 is like twice as expensive..

I got a new phone, not quite as good as my actual camera, but it's light years better than my old phone. Also new plates.

Been planning to take some night pictures of it when I get the time. At the moment I took that picture I only had my phone. Gonna get my good camera for the others.
