I have no problem with moderate lifts like this [t]http://discussions.texasbowhunter.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=122362&d=1253592288[/t] but when you get to shit like this where the average can can easily get under you run into a problem. [t]http://data1.whicdn.com/images/62173487/large.jpg[/t] [editline]16th December 2014[/editline] Wouldn't even be that bad to stick a bar in there to stop bad accidents.
I'm generally OK with lifted truck as long as they have mudflaps and they're not a hazard to other cars on the road. The ones without mudflaps have a tendency to fling rocks not into my windshield, but into my hood.
Knowing what the purpose of lifting a truck is, I have no objection to in general. It's extremely common here in Appalachia because of the mountains, and it makes sense. The dicks who do it just to be asshats and don't actually know how to drive in snow/off road, though; they deserve the ridicule they get. That being said; lifted trucks here are generally not too bad, they're reasonable in height that their bumpers aren't creating major issues, and the drivers themselves are pretty respectful drivers.
Oregon's Lift Law:
No portion of the vehicle, except tires, can be lower than the lowest portion of any rim of any wheel in contact with the roadway.
We did that to my Dad's truck this weekend. Then we threw this guy on top of that. [t]http://i.imgur.com/pD68mNb.jpg[/t]
Thank you for giving me nightmares.
almost lost my life on the freeway, hit & run by a big lifted truck, no plates [t]http://scontent-b.cdninstagram.com/hphotos-xap1/t51.2885-15/927408_1481796262109152_1219342549_n.jpg[/t] new wheels and an alignment later, still fucked rear end [t]http://scontent-a.cdninstagram.com/hphotos-xaf1/l/t51.2885-15/10817611_358801040947445_457158052_n.jpg[/t] hours and hours of hammering and pulling and cutting and drilling + new trunk [t]http://scontent-a.cdninstagram.com/hphotos-xap1/t51.2885-15/923862_684324641687363_1741440291_n.jpg[/t] been a while, guys
I remember seeing that on tumblr when it happened, still sucks seeing it even now. Glad you're okay though. And it's awesome that you're sticking with the car though, I love your Miata man.
[T] [ /t]
oh
Why do you live in the Finnish Whitehouse?
Its my friends place not far from Helsinki. Good place to spend the summerdays detailing. Nothing special, the house and the surrounding buildings are old as hell.
Holy crap, that's beautiful.
Thanks. I forgot the picture of the rims I bought for my S60. [t]http://i.imgur.com/KFCnG1w.jpg[/t]
The bull bars on the back of 18 wheel ers have been proven en-effective, Volvo is the only trailer manufacture that makes a bar halfway worth a crap. I peronally don't see a issue with lifted fullsize trucks, if you have a low enough car your going to go under it when it's stock anywho. Let's not bring trailers into this situation. If you have a low enough car your going to go under some trailers. The simple fix of this is don't get under things or be put under things.
Lol. Fuck off nanny-state supporter. Semis have those because they come that way from the factory. Shit like that brings you closer to Australias retarded car modding laws.
you do realize that semis come that way from the factory for a reason right in 1967 Jayne Mansfield (famous actress) was decapitated when her vehicle rear-ended a tractor trailer the NHTSA mandated all trailers be equipped with a "Mansfield bar" as a result of that accident but clearly you're fine with people directly threatening the safety of every other motorist on the roadway
but clearly you're fine with people directly threatening the safety of every other motorist on the roadway
Why do something half ass to make it look like they fixed the issue when everything else is a issue. If most of y'all are gonna bitch about it being safety hazard to low vehicle s than why the fuck did you lower your car even more? (Applys to you people who lowered your car) You look at any crash with a low vehicle and a suv the little car goes under the suv.
Underrun protection is required on all trucks and trailers except logging trailers here [t]http://i.imgur.com/u0bYGTu.jpg[/t][t]http://files.kotisivukone.com/files/metsuri.kotisivukone.com/.album/1378291124172_1_orig.jpeg[/t]
So I lost something on the track this weekend. Oh and then I got fucking RAMMED by someone who didn't check his sides while diving into a corner, entire front end is fucked. Front end of the chassis is bent shoving my radiator 2 inches to the right. almost overheating because the cooling got fucked. But by all means, it was a pretty succesfull weekend. We've repaired the car. Only the outside still looks like shite but that's okay because it blends in with the overal shite looking car. It's a fast car though :D Oh and BRM, 2:09 on Zandvoort :v:

Most of those don't do jack shit. Especially Hyundai's trailers. You guys seen to be acting like people lift trucks for the sole reason of being rear ended/crashing into people.
You guys seen to be acting like people lift trucks for the sole reason of being rear ended/crashing into people.
Yes [editline]16th December 2014[/editline] Pain and suffering.
That was a nice slide you did at like 3:30 on one of your videos. [editline]16th December 2014[/editline] strontboer

Still wish I could've seen BRM while I was there. I still love this car so much

I bought this car this summer. [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3024347/20140516_211817_Richtone(HDR)_edit2.png[/t][t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3024347/DSC_0005_01.png[/t] I'm happy with it as it is, but it certainly would look better if it was lowered slightly and had wider wheels.
