And watch the under ride crash tests. Most of those don't do jack shit. Especially Hyundai's trailers. You guys seen to be acting like people lift trucks for the sole reason of being rear ended/crashing into people.
They don't do shit because they aren't regulated well enough, but that's starting to change. And no, but when you lift something, you are defeating all of the crash protection and passive safety equipment in a shorter vehicle as the bumper of the lifted truck hits the A pillars and windshield which weren't designed to take the impact. If you live in suburbia and/or don't off road, there is no need to be lifting a truck. Sure there are low cars where the hood would skid under, but my eyes should not be level with the bottom of your bumper.
it's a V6
I'm so sorry.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/rgL0fpF.jpg[/t] I want body work done :(
I bought this car this summer. [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3024347/20140516_211817_Richtone(HDR)_edit2.png[/t][t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3024347/DSC_0005_01.png[/t] I'm happy with it as it is, but it certainly would look better if it was lowered slightly and had wider wheels.
Lower it a little (maybe 1.5") and get a front bumper and side skirts. Would look much better. As for the engine, you have my deepest condolences. Swap in a v8.
$500 ls swap and an afternoon
$500 ls swap and an afternoon
This is blasphemy. I don't even like 4th gen mustangs and I think this is wrong. Go for a 4-valve cobra swap if you're swapping engines, anything else isn't worth the effort.
Why are you guys being dicks because it's a V6 Mustang? That's not how to get new friends in AA
Shit guys don't make me regret buying this. No but as I said, I'm happy with this car. I think a V6 is okay otherwise I would never have bought it. I agree that a V8 is more nice is every way but it was simply too expensive. Maybe in a year or two I'll sell this and get something better
im surprised you can find either models in sweden tbh

I agree that a V8 is more nice is every way but it was simply too expensive. Maybe in a year or two I'll sell this and get something better
It's a great car. Nothing wrong with it per-se. The problem is that sports cars infect you with what I call "The Performance and Power Virus (TM)". That means you're going to be looking for ways to increase performance and power on it. With American pony cars (Dodge Challenger, Chevy Camaro, Ford Mustang, etc..) (yes, those are all pony cars. None of them are true muscle cars.), the largest aftermarkets and largest availability of performance upgrades are for the v8 variants (Challenger SRT8, Camaro ZL1, Mustang GT). Once again, it's NOT a bad car. It's just not a wise choice if you love driving sports cars and are going to want to put aftermarket performance parts on it.
im surprised you can find either models in sweden tbh
I've literally never seen one of those in real life. I live really close to the Swedish border too
[t]http://i.imgur.com/rgL0fpF.jpg[/t] I want body work done :(
at least rattle can your wang or something plz
y'all bitching about someone with a V6 in urop they're lucky to get 3 cylinders, let alone 6 american freedom explosions
y'all bitching about someone with a V6 in urop they're lucky to get 3 cylinders, let alone 6 american freedom explosions
Anything wrong with 3 cylinders? :(
Anything wrong with 3 cylinders? :(
Illuminati.
im surprised you can find either models in sweden tbh
Sweden has always been big on importing american cars.

V6 is fine as a daily, it's just a totally useless gutless lump if you want anything else but stock from it.
at least rattle can your wang or something plz
I don't even know how to bolt it on properly tbh. There's also the problem of holes in the hatch door. I might just wait until I can do professional body work so they can cut and patch the door. Rivet/bolt the wing on properly then paint-match everything on the car including side mirrors and additional aero I might get in the future like sideskirts. Need a good paying job!

Okay sooooo, I bought another racecar... it wasn't on purpose I swear. BMW E36 325i Coupe from 1992, here's the fun part, It's got a compressor.A Rotrex C30-84... So it's a tad faster then a M3 now going at about 310bhp :suicide: I will be picking it up next Friday so until then I don't know the exact specifics but roughly. -Full D1 spec welded FIA rollcage. Doesn't get any better then that in regards to cages. -Alpine exhaust system -Racing suspension (koni's) -racing diff -sparco seats + 6 point seatbelts, all FIA -enhanced cooling, oil, intercooler ect. -full M body package -2009 completely rebuilded and repainted -18inch alpine rims -m3 brakes And I got this for an absolute steal, I almost feel bad for paying so little for it. :v:
So what did didja spend to get it?
About 4 grand, what do you guys think?
About 4 grand, what do you guys think?
Not bad at all, I wish I had that cash to just throw at race cars...
About 4 grand, what do you guys think?
4 Grand for a (GT class?) race car is a fucking massive steal. Everyone around here I've ever known to have bought or built one has paid no less then $12,000 overall. I could have bought a shitty rolling frame for 4k. ~jealous~ [editline]17th December 2014[/editline]
Not bad at all, I wish I had that cash to just throw at race cars...
Shit, if I had 4k to throw around I'd just toss a J32 into my accord. All my research says it'd bolt almost effortlessly right in.
Are they really that bad?
Yes, it's a really clean car but those wheels are just terrible lol. They're almost definitely very heavy as well so if you get some nicer wheels or even OEM wheels you'll reduce some unsprung weight as well. I wouldn't throw them away but most definitely would rather have steelies instead IMO.
Lower it a little (maybe 1.5") and get a front bumper and side skirts. Would look much better. As for the engine, you have my deepest condolences. Swap in a v8.
Uh I personally think that it needs a bit more than a 1.5" drop at it's current stage. Maybe like 3 inches, or 4, or 5...

The ones I have are 18" and the tyres are 225 mm. What Should I go for? 18" or 19"? Perhaps something like 9 - 9.5" wide in the front and 10 - 10.5" for the rear, would that work? And what about the tyres on 9" and 10" for example? I'm not sure about the offset.. I guess this would be even heavier than the ones I have now? It's just that I would like them to be wider, since it doesn't look good like this in my oipinion.
rollin on those bbs new tires all around. Going from 18lbs rims to 10.5lbs feels like driving a new car. and guess what? THE 70MPH VIBRATION IS GONE!! Who knew that properly balanced wheels removes high speed wobbling in the steering wheel! also, I'm buying new fenders and front bumper tomorrow, a total of $200.
Not bad at all, I wish I had that cash to just throw at race cars...
I don't really have that kinda spare cash either, But I couldn't let this deal swing by. Oh and I've sold my range rover :v: Gonna see a Mercedes Benz Vito van, double cabin all black paintjob from 2003. Anyone have experience with them? points to check ect
