I don't really have that kinda spare cash either, But I couldn't let this deal swing by.
Oh and I've sold my range rover :v:
Gonna see a Mercedes Benz Vito van, double cabin all black paintjob from 2003. Anyone have experience with them? points to check ect
If you tell me what engine it has, I may be of some use. As long as nothing is wrong with the basics and doesn't have airmatic then it should be fine.
Why did you ditch the Range Rover? Too expensive on gas?
I was planing on getting new wheels for it, mostly because i think they look to narrow on it.

The ones I have are 18" and the tyres are 225 mm. What Should I go for? 18" or 19"? Perhaps something like 9 - 9.5" wide in the front and 10 - 10.5" for the rear, would that work? And what about the tyres on 9" and 10" for example? I'm not sure about the offset..
I guess this would be even heavier than the ones I have now? It's just that I would like them to be wider, since it doesn't look good like this in my oipinion.
I'd probably go with something that's a more common size so you can get tires for a decent price. Go check mustang forums for what recommended tire/wheel sizes are or you could just copy whatever a GT used. There's a few mustangs around here, they will probably have some recommendations.

The AMR(American Muscle) branded rims are cheap, light, and work well (and they will sell kits with 4 rims+tires mounted and balanced).
I have 18x9s on the front and 18x10s on the rear of my 2006 Mustang GT. I NEED the extra width in the rear due to traction issues from the power I'm putting down. In your case, I would put 18x8s in the front and NO WIDER than an 18x9 in the rear. You don't need the enlarged contact patch and the extra width would do nothing more than add rotating mass for your engine to overcome.

Thanks. It looks like the final price after shipping and customs etc will land on about the same as the prices here so that is definitely an option.
About the width, I'm not sure but I think my current ones are 8 wide. So buying 8 and 9 rims doesn't feel like it's worth it.. But I guess you're right.
If I were to buy 9 for the rear would spacers be fine to use if I wouldn't be satisfied with how it looks?

Spacers are a dangerous option for purely adding width. If you're trying to change the bolt pattern, and just had to use them, then go for it, but getting something with a different offset will shove the wheels further out. Putting a larger tire on it in general will force the engine to rotate that larger mass. I had a serious drawback in power when I upgraded from 5.5" wide rear tires to a 12" tire. You could literally not even spin the tires in water after that. Turbocharging it brought back the spin, but still.
If you want that wide tire look also, drop the rim size a bit and get rid of the rims you have in general - then find a wheel with some offset that shoves the face of it further out. Find yourself a little bit wider tire than the rim you get and it will fill up that wheel well nicely.
I don't post here much during winter, because well, snow and car is dirty 95% of the time and I've been rather busy aswell.
But I did wash it tonight and decided to take a shot.

Thanks for the help guys. I'm considering the black Bullitt wheels from American Muscle but I'll have to give it some more thought. It's more than four months until I'll drive it again.
yesterday took some pictures of my UAZ, too bad I need to sell it, awesome machine, saved me lots of times in the rural places

Duuude, that's so sweet.
When I was in the army our whole brigade had 1 working UAZ(there was like pretty much like 2 in use(they have been replaced with land rover defenders(which we had like 200(which were a pain in the ass to fit in to the parking hall)))), it sounded like a rally car.
Once we were marching in a formation and that thing drove past us and made the loudest fucking backfire sound I've ever heard a car make and us being drivers everyone just burst out laughing
sorry for posting so many pics but im in love with this car

me and my friend drove from my house in brookdale to saratoga and back last night, and almost spun out for the first time! Some crazy porsche got all up in my ass for a second and then took off another direction and I saw that it had a giant fin, almost wider than the car. I wish it would just dry out over here. I will shoot vids from driving tonight.
You need to stop, my miata is in storage and remembering all the fun times driving it is making me really sad.
I'm really glad you like it though, have any immediate plans for it?

For now, just restoration and maintenance (timing belt, spark plugs, gaskets, body panels, eventually the cat)
I like the idea of a very slight lowering of it. Noting ridiculous, it just sits a bit high right now. Oh, and a leather steering wheel.

Nope, just the angle the photo was taken. Replacement soon tho :)
A lone civic wanders into Miatafest.. looks around, realizes that there's no common ground, and quietly slips out the back.

I love Falken mainly because they offer good performance for their cheap versions. Take their race tech to the average consumer. I wish I could see Nitto, Cooper Tire or Federal do something similar.

I just remembered this gem. I don't know if I shared this with you before, but I think it's hilarious.
So me and my friend were out driving our cars, he has a black NA Miata, and we stopped in a parking lot at the beach to kick tyres and chill for a bit.
Then this rental BMW pulls up behind us, and 5 chinese tourists come out of the car and they're yelling stuff like "aaaaah Madaaaa" and "Wroom wroom ahahahaha" (you can hear him saying "Madaa" a couple of times in the video, I think that's how Mazda is pronounced in chinese) and they just instantly head for my friends car.
Before I started filming, he checking out the car and touching it, all of this without even looking at us (we were right next to the car) or asking if he could touch. Nothing. Zilch. He just discusses the car with his family in Chinese, and he then proceeds to sit inside the car and turn the wheel and press the pedals. Still without having said a single word to any of us.
My friend then leans in over the passenger window and asks "Well, do you like it?" and the chinese dude just stares him dead into the eyes for like a second or two, then turns his head away and ignores him.
Then he gets out, slams the door (using the window as to push the door) and he goes to the front to check it's dampening by pushing down on the hood.
Meanwhile this older dude of the group starts offering me cigarettes and I'm like no thanks. Then they get bored with the car and leave.
When we decide to drive off, a couple of minutes after I stopped filming, the chinese dude comes running back, making gestures as to give him the keys and let him drive.
It was all fucking surreal, because no where in hell would I have thought anyone would do that. But we both had a laugh since he didn't damage the car or anything, so I just started to record it.
Check out the video for yourselves:

What the fuck? I'm Chinese-American but I would have told them to fuck off immediately. I also do not know a single person who would ever even think to sit in someone's car without their permission. What a fuck head.

Ever been to China? lol
I have
It's generally accepted that a lot of them have bad etiquette
Even their tourism board is trying to teach them general etiquette
And yeah I would've done the same as you. The video's still quite funny though

Do you speak Chinese? I'd love to understand what they talked about

I accidentally some auxiliary lights
If I want to get into modifying my car with different stuff, where would be a good site to start? I wanna see the sorts of things I can do, so I don't really know what my aim is right now.
Saw the car I am getting in town yesterday and I'm gonna be super happy with it. It just looks so good.
