Don't drive drowsy, kids. Looks like the steering is broken, a wheel is shattered and all the front bodywork is going to need to be replaced. Drivetrain is intact and the airbag didn't go off. It also needs new horns, those are smashed.
It's scary how bad my driving gets when I'm tired. The other night, I'd been out all day with my mate, and since I had to drop him off - and he lives far away from me - I ended up being out later than I thought I'd be. Was tired as fuck, kept messing up my gear changes, losing concentration, generally driving awfully. Almost home, there's this one stretch of road where you can do 40mph but it's the type of road where there's no barrier between you and oncoming traffic, just a big bold white road marking. I stupidly fucking drove in the wrong lane, against oncoming traffic. There was one car, and I remember thinking "why the fuck is this guy coming towards my lane" and then I realised afterwards that I was in his lane and had forced him off into the bus lane. Fuck.
I want to like the CRZ, I really do
I DO like the CRZ, I just think the standard car should be offered as a CRZ Hybrid/HF and an Si/base model be offered with a bigger motor and more performance oriented setup. They're really quite neat but the hybrid motor suits a Base/Eco trim while the platform could be used to a much higher potential. Nowadays Honda is far too concerned with Civic Si and the Civic Hatch sales which everywhere but North America gets. Honda won't make a bunch of really similar cars like they used to unless those similar cars are brand split to Acura. It's almost the same reason we don't get the Civic hatch or the Scirocco :\

The civic is for the commuter that needs to get to work and don't give a shit. They sometimes need to transport their offspring in the back seat, so 4 doors is a must. Then they sometimes need a place to put a few breefcases, maybe a projector to show their boss this awesome design they've made so they can keep plugging away in their cubicle and not loose their job. At about what - $18,000? for a basic-ass civic, they made a "smart" decision. Then you have the Si. Here's what happened: That business minded professional decided - hey - I don't really want to maintain a Mercedes or BMW and I Still dont give a shit - I wish there was something like a Civic - but like - with a stick shift - god that would be so RAD and my son will think I'm hella tight yo. So then they get a Civic Si - and still don't give a crap what it has in it for a motor but gawddamn is it a fun commuting car - and a smart decision. Honda's "civic" was never meant to be sold to people who actually "like" them in the US, so that's why you don't have the fun hatchback anymore, or the Civic "R". The few people who complain about having them on the internet is not enough to dictate shipping an entire new body over here for them, when Honda is intending to sell it as a commuting car. Plus they already sell a hatchback here (fit), and the Cr-z while intended to look like a Cr-x, is not a performance car. Actually I'm pretty much 100% sure the Cr-x wasn't exactly a "performance" car either, given that it still retains one of the best MPG ratings of pretty much any car. If it was me, I'd buy a Cr-z, and I was almost interested in getting even the Hybrid, but it just doesn't fill that need that my 1998 Civic EX gave me with the rice powered everything... so definitely would like to see a K series CR-z, but good luck doing it if you live in California or another ball crushing modification state. They almost did a better job marketing the 2nd gen CR-v to 20 year old males, what with the guy skateboarding then he dies, so they throw his body in a bag, and shove him in the trunk. I can't find the commercial but someone here knows what I'm talking about and has seen it.
The 06+ hatches are all 4 doors, the 96-00 hatches sold pretty significantly but didn't outsell the Coupe/Sedan. Hatchbacks are insanely more functional than a crap coupe/sedan which you can't fit anything but groceries in the trunk. I've hauled bookcases, desks, a 50" TV, an interior door, almost every car part but the hood. The Civic coupes are a purely American market car, I have no idea what possesses people to buy cars with 2 doors and no cargo or people space over a hatchback. Uhh, I have no idea what you mean by "like". You wouldn't believe the Honda loyalists here in Oregon, the PNW has had a serious Honda addiction since the 80's before many places even had them. Many people here own them for 10-20 years even. The reason we don't have a hatch is because the EP3 didn't go over well with focus groups so instead they turned it into the Si but didn't want to step on the RSX's toes and made it mediocre as hell. The CRX was HIGHLY marketed as a sporty car and the Si was insanely popular, the first gen CRX was a pretty big thing when it came out. The CRX was the last thing to plant Honda firmly into being a serious competitor in the US. The first gen CRX had the DOHC ZC(130hp) overseas but that is pretty overlooked. The 2nd gen CRX SiR was a really huge thing over seas with the B16A and the Si with the DOHC ZC. We didn't get either of those motors in the Civic/CRX Si, instead we got the slow wagon MPFI motor that was really only meant for a RT4WD wagon although they gave us a decent transmission with it. I personally wouldn't buy one, the older chassis are a good bit better and we do get the 8th gen sedans to shove a K down which is really a better chassis although really boring looking. That's only Cali though, you wouldn't have any problems in any of the other 49 states :v:

I don't think anyone walked into a new Honda dealership in 1994 and said "wow, this hatchback civic is so rad, I'm going to bang so many chicks" and then bought it. There were far more cooler cars in existance than that grocery getter. That's what I'm saying.
I mean the fact that people who actually buy civics and think they're "cool" tend to be the second or third owner, etc... There were far more cooler cars in existance than that grocery getter. That's what I'm saying.
I'm not really sure about that, Honda was coming out with motors that made nearly as much HP as a 305 in stock configuration around the same time. 94 was past Honda's boom, they sold more cars from 84-90 than from 90-95 if I recall correctly, this is the time where the 3rd gen Camaro was considered a good car and every american product started to fall apart after the loan/3-4yr warranty was up on top of the 25 year post-smog struggle. Instead cheap japanese cars came along that you didn't even have to touch for 10 years. The 88-91 Civic generation sold more units worldwide than any later generation. No one buys a Civic because they are "cool" really, you buy a Civic because they are good cheap cars in your budget compared to your other options like a Cavalier, Corolla or a Neon. Even if you buy a Civic because it's cool you still bought it because it's cheap and you can put money into it. If you walked into a Honda dealer looking for a sporty/performance car you bought a CRX, Prelude or you walked over to Acura and bought an Integra and looked at the Legend that made BMW/Mercedes look like they didn't know what they were doing at the entry level and Cadillac/Lincoln look like they weren't even in the game any more. You can always flip it too. The EF chassis can be a utter pain in the ass with it's specific parts and lack of cheap aftermarket though.

The amount of brand new base model Nissan Versa's I see are astounding, always being driven by people from 18-30 yrs old. Then rust takes it away, I know you don't have that where you live. I bought my mazda 3i HB because it was cheap. Well cheap for me. 20k new came with a warrenty and a manual transmission and a options I wanted. I have to be at work. Two call ins in six months you get wrote up 3 seat home without pay 4 they can fire you. Now I work 53 miles(each way) from home and I drive my disposable car. I take care of it replace what I break and keep up on all maintance. I rather shift to six hit cruise and be comfortable than worry about not making it where I go. But to me most cars are boring the ones that arnt boring are nOt very practical. We have mountains and snow. My every day roads look like your " canyon runs". Rwd sucks here for 1/4 of the year. Hell fwd with snow tires have issues sometimes in the slushy snow. Now my wife has the nicer auto. A leathered out 4x4 wk2, we use it to our atvs and take us where ever we need. Now my passion. I am passionate about my vstrom.

Wtf is with American car dealerships you make them sound like its hell on earth, they really aren't that bad I'm the UK
Galpin has always been great to us and Carmax for my car was about as painless as overpaying by a lot can get.
Does anybody know if I want to sell my car to carmax 5 months from now, but I want to see what they would give me right now, does that hurt the value if I don' take their offer but wait the 5 months and get it re-valued?
carfax or carmax? if carmax, dont do it
carfax or carmax? if carmax, dont do it
Why not? I'm a little hesitant to be honest, but I'm sick and tired of dealing with people. I don't want to waste energy responding to tire kickers and scammers on craigslist. I'll probably list it on ebay first, see what happens, but I wanted an estimate from carmax first so I know what I'm up against.
Wtf is with American car dealerships you make them sound like its hell on earth, they really aren't that bad I'm the UK
I've never had bad experiences with dealerships, aside from having to play political wording and fighting tooth-and-nail to get simple warranty work done. That's ultimately the reason why even though my CEL came on a week and a half after buying the car, it took nearly a month after that and 2k miles before they decided to do a diagnostic check on it and charge me another $150 or so to do so. No, wait, hey. I just disproved my own point.
