Why are we really seeing such a blow up on this? I pass on the right all the time since our area has a ton of mountains and trucks absolutely love to clog the left lane and never get over (which is funny since it's illegal to be in the left-most lane for semis on road sections wider than two lanes one-way in areas over 60 MPH).
I'm assuming he meant passing on the right, like shoulder right, not like right half of a 4 lane highway?
Either way it sounds like the defendant is acquitted.
Oh, well, then knowing 3/4 of the roads in my area, why the hell would you do that?! You'd be passing on dirt!

theres some corners with wide ass shoulders way up on north hwy 9. But that is a good point, it would be impossible to pass someone on the shoulder on south hwy 9, that driver must have been something else!
[QUOTE=notlabbet;46901705]ok cool then its not me. Here is a picture of my registration card:

Does anyone know of any local tracks/autoX events in central florida? I've always wanted to try it in my bugeye, but never found anything. I really need to work on my shifting in a track environment.
WRXs are notoriously hard to heel-toe because of the height of the brake vs the gas, and also first gear doesn't like to engage over 10mph in any subaru, so really tight turns in autoX have me worried. 2nd gear ratio in 02 WRXs is such a terrible ratio, it's so very long.

That track reminds me of Sebring Int.l Raceway.
It is, isn't it?

Remove the lower control arms on the car, and possibly the steering support rod, and it should allow the wheels to fold out like those hover cars. That should be low enough.
Pic of hover car for reference:

When you lower your car like this, you must install an onboard compressor, most get it out of an H2 or H3, and then TPS sensors placed in all the wheels. Those you can DIY out of any newer car in a scrap yard most likely. You write into the BCM, that any time the wheel pressure drops below 100psi, it must inflate that tire. Then you break the bead seal on the back part of the rim, and get some ill fitting tires. This is easy to find. You go to any used tire recycler, and ask for their thinnest tires, and then pop them on.
Now - while you "drive" the wheels will constantly be discharging air towards the ground - it's very important that you face as much rim surface area towards the ground, otherwise the air pressure will not allow sufficient thrust to levitate the car. Your compressor should keep up with the need for air pressure, but you may want to have a big can of air tool oil on hand if the compressor starts overheating.
When you see these kinds of hover cars slowing down and trying to find a way over a speedbump, you know that their onboard compressor is overheating. Most of these silly modders are using Harbor Freight compressors, and thus result in premature failure. When you hear a car go over the speedbump at normal speed and you hear that "grinding" sound, it's not actually grinding - it is an intense discharge of air that allows the car to float effortlessly over the bump.
I hope this simple DIY will help you get on the right track. Just make sure you buy quality parts, or at least get them out of luxury cars in the scrap yard.
Float on my friend.

Dat shit won't fly in Norway
The laws are very strict around here
and I don't have the time or the knowledge to work on it myself
Anyways I drive a Passat 3BG 05' 4WD
It looks like this:

Dat shit won't fly anywhere, literally. And yes, laws are really fucking strict, but lowering your car isn't illegal.
Get yourself some TÜV approved coilovers/springs, put them on (or get someone to do it for you), get a 4-wheel control (alignment), call your local Statens Vegvesen office and demand a check up, pay the man the fee (like 500 NOK), let him look at it, and boom, you're never going over a speedbump again, and you're legal. Just make sure it's not too low (like 11cm between the lowest point and the ground I think)
