I think we should ban the jews [editline]8th December 2015[/editline] FUck meant to type facebook, not facepunch
Although, I disagree with bird right groups. Why should we let a bunch of feathered jerks that poop eggs vote?
Honestly i think fish are an under-represented minority, particularly in the electronic market, i think we should invest in aquarium-safe technology to bring more job opportunities to sea-life.
What a great list of reasons, I particularly liked your point about
- literally has no idea how the economy works - socialism and communism don't work in america do we really need to repeat history? - how will he stand up to ISIS and Putin if he can't even stand up to 3 protesters? - cuck - wants to bring in more muslims (because we all know THATS a good idea) - wants to spend more money on giving entitled people free gibsmes - all his circlejerk supporters don't listen to other views - instead box them out because they can't think that enough reasons?
If you can cook it or grow it, in a private space, I see no reason why you shouldn't be allowed to use the drugs you make.
- literally has no idea how the economy works - socialism and communism don't work in america do we really need to repeat history? - how will he stand up to ISIS and Putin if he can't even stand up to 3 protesters? - cuck
These reasons flat out wrong.
- all his circlejerk supporters don't listen to other views - instead box them out because they can't think
This one has nothing at all to do with Bernie Sanders and is a completely retarded reason to not vote for someone, lol.
Socialism looks perfect on paper but that's about it
The thing is when you say this as an American people get confused; do you mean marxist socialism? Social democracy? It's kind of bastardized the word and Bernie Sanders describing himself as a "Democratic Socialist" rather than "Social Democrat" isn't helping because Bernie Sanders isn't a socialist
long live the free market!
I'm actually surprised how many actual Nazi's/White Supremecists are on FP. Unless of course they're joking, but otherwise I'd love to hear why
I'm actually surprised how many actual Nazi's/White Supremecists are on FP. Unless of course they're joking, but otherwise I'd love to hear why
Who do you define as white supremacists? Not all people who oppose accepting Syrian refugees are white supremacists.
Extremism is the worst kind of way someone can show their interest towards something, be it a political movement, religious, whatever. Extremism shouldn't be allowed under any circumstances.
Extremism is the worst kind of way someone can show their interest towards something, be it a political movement, religious, whatever. Extremism shouldn't be allowed under any circumstances.
that's a pretty extreme position to take
Who do you define as white supremacists? Not all people who oppose accepting Syrian refugees are white supremacists.
I literally didn't say anything about refugees. I meant the people in this specific thread who have said they are part of a nazi or white Supremecists group.
I'm a nazi and a white nationalist
Like this, maybe it's a joke that went over my head but if it isn't then I'd like to know what the idea behind being for it is
Let me see the post concerning communism. I want to see what you have to say. I appreciate you being civil. I am trying to clarify my ideas through discussion. Many people told I am incoherent. I am hoping to fix that. I have thought about how to better explain what I am thinking. Lets take anti vaxxers as a model. Before the anti vaxxer movement, no one really needed to be told its a good idea to to vaccinate their children. When they came along what happened? People tried reasoning. That didnt work. They just got more stubborn. Then public service announcements. That only made them more stubborn. So now laws are being enacted to force them to vaccinate their children. What happening now? The parents are now giving the children bleach enemas. So that going require more force, more government, more laws, more surveillance to ensure this doesnt happen. What happens next? These anti vaxxers dont understand no care about natural consequences. They do however understand power. So what happens is they form a group, a movement. They help each other. They give each other preferences into preferable jobs in business. In government. Then they begin to discriminate people who dont hold their views. After a set of period and time, they will get into higher positions (Trump or Chirs Christie are good examples) and use government force to crack down on dissidents. Smart sane people realize their opinion not worth getting hassled or fighting idiots. So they shut up and just begrudgingly agree. The anti vaxxers begin to implement their ideas and cause harm and damage. Smart people say this is bad idea. Response? Force, discrimination or violence. More people suffer. Eventually all the good people are gone due to persecution, then "being anti vaccine is a good idea" become common sense and seen as a good, rational idea due to how familiar it is and repeated exposure. Not due to how practical is it. At this point any one who disagrees is considered, stupid, insane and becomes a target for abuse and mockery. This situation makes people more fanatical, more imbalanced and the situation just gets worse and worse. Now in this model you have people dying repeatedly of viruses, and the populace and the politic pushing their head in the sand and doubling down even more on the and for the anti vaxxer policy. Then they start coming up with a theory of pro vaxxers creating a conspiracy to make these plagues happen and then they create more surveillance, more oppression more governmental power to eliminate that "other" Corruption also begins to occur during this time. Any one who points this out then gets called "stupid" "hates kids" "not compassionate" and so on and so. I am just using this as a model to explain how/ governments form and the cycle. Now take out anti vaxxers and replace the ideal of any thing you can think off? Liberal. Republican. Christian. Islam. Does the pattern change from ideal to ideal or does it eventually succumb to it? Basically, force is needed to correct an idiots behavior. Government is formed to be the administration of this force. Idiots see the government has power. Idiots seek power. Then idiots abuse power. Then shit goes down hill. Smart people speak up. Idiots kill off smart people, double down on destructive policy, then idiots seek more power to force the ideal to work. Idiots and crazy people find certain ideals that are designed in a certain way appealing. Ideas can and do make people modify and regulate their own behavior and the behavior of others. This happens without any one outside of them to force them to act in those ways. So the trick is make a "benign virus" of an idea which uses the traits which makes people act this way cannibalize those traits and cancel each other out over time. I hope I wasnt incoherent or rambling. I hope I explained with clarity.

If communism is going to result in the absence of social classes, money and the state, isn't it technically a form of anarchy?
If communism is going to result in the absence of social classes, money and the state, isn't it technically a form of anarchy?
Kind of. The end goal of both ideologies is to reach a stateless, classless society. But the main way they differ is how to achieve that goal, communists believe in using the state and having it eventually be abolished or get smaller/weaker over time until it may as well not exist. Anarchists believe the state is inherently capitalist and oppressive, and thus if you want a classless society you have to get rid of the state ASAP. this is a bit of an oversimplification tbh but that's the gist of it.
If communism is going to result in the absence of social classes, money and the state, isn't it technically a form of anarchy?
Anarchy is a form of political organization (or lack thereof). Communism is a mode of economic production. many communists are anarchists. Many communists are statists as well (I am not a communist). I favor a free-er market and giving people the equal opportunity to become rich/middle class. Everyone should have the same opportunities, which I think means coming up with some way to make education less expensive, whether that be through lowering the price, or through the government subsidizing more. I don't think education should be free, but that the impact it has on a poor person shouldn't be that it has the potential to ruin his finances forever. I think the same about healthcare, and virtually everything that costs a shitload of money. Everyone should have equal opportunity to become rich as fuck.
that's a pretty extreme position to take
Zings aside, do you actually think that extremism brought anything good to the world? To my knowledge it only brought conflicts and ignorance.
Zings aside, do you actually think that extremism brought anything good to the world? To my knowledge it only brought conflicts and ignorance.
Thats my position. Im just explaining why extremists are extremists and the consequences of leaving them unchecked.
