• I forget things yet I don't

I fell off a wall onto my head as a child, was probably 2-3 times my height as I remember it. It recently came up in conversation with my mum and I asked if I had a bad memory before that. She said she doesn't think so :v: But yeah I have an appalling memory, or rather, memory recollection. I can remember the weirdest little things from the strangest triggers, but ask me what I did, who I spoke to, what I ate etc in that day alone and I'll likely draw a blank. I also have a very strong case of that stuff where you forget things walking between rooms because of shifting mind-states, as in I seem to have completely different memory sets depending on if I'm in college or at home, or I'll pretty often completely lose where I am in a train of thought and what I'm saying in the middle of a sentence, because a small trigger in something I see or something I say will make me think about something else entirely. Honestly after typing this out I think I have a bigger problem than I realised ;_;
when something triggers a memory it's called a mnemonic - try doodling on your notes during a boring lecture, and looking at the doodles later might help spark some memories. don't put effort into them though - you want to remember the lecture they're linked to, not how much you were concentrating on drawing them.
Happens to me aswell. Often the teacher asks me to do something and I go and do it and forget straight away and have to ask what she said. Kind of embarassing, but ye.
