This thread is part of a series of similar threads, all of which are meant to be a safe haven for all artists, no matter if you're unsure of your ability and don't want to make a thread, are lazy and don't want to make a thread, or tend to get yelled at when you make a thread, but feel like your work needs to be posted anyways.

What should I post?
Post images you've shot, and expect:

In return, if you can, ~critique~ another user's work. Together, we can ~critique~ all over the thread.
Example of a *clicks friendly/useful rating* post:
Wanting ~critique~: Guys, I just bought a new DSLR. I've decided to dip into the fun, exciting world of photography, and I would really like some pointers on the photos I just took.
Giving ~critique~: Hey man, I'm glad you've decided to experiment with photography. That first set of images you posted wasn't so bad. I'd suggest working on X more, and focusing more on X instead of X. Also, allow me to provide you with a few resources on how you can improve your work.
Example of a *clicks dumb rating* post:
im better than all of u my camera is more expensive check out these pics i took at da club swaggie
Why should I post here instead of making a thread?
Realistically speaking, you probably don't need your own thread, this is much more convenient for everyone, and helps keeps things organized, and moving.
Often if you make a thread it is a gallery of five or more photos of which people may praise or give light criticism, if you post your photos in here you will often receive more useful criticism.
Furthermore if you have less than five great photos to show off, you should probably just post them in here instead. If you don’t think your photos are good, then people in here will be happy to help you improve (don’t cry in the corner, just post your photos!).
Don’t post photos unless you are going to give criticism to others!
If you post and want critique, then it's advised that you give critique. It's only fair, and everyone benefits. Don't be a little bitch about receiving critique you don't like, everyone is here to help out eachother, take it, or leave it.
If you see any photos you like of dislike, please give criticism. Criticism is far more value-able to a photographer than praise, so criticise even the tiniest of flaws in a photo!
Don’t post your own photos without giving criticism to others, as that is rather rude. Also, if you are going to post photos listen to criticism given to you and don't throw a hissy fit if someone tells you something you don't like.
AND MOST IMPORTANT: have fun & be urself :~)

I dont know what it is, maybe it's just me, but it really bothers me that it isn't perectly straight everywhere on the photo. I'd personally up the contrast aswell and see how that came out, but it's not like this isn't working as it is now. I like it.
Got some real nice light after work.

First one looks really nice, imo. However, the other two seem a little bland to me. Not much going on in the second, nothing really atmospheric, just seems like you snapped out of boredom. Feel a little bit the same about the third.

Really like the third and fourth shots, however, the first two are just pictures of foliage. Nothing too interesting about that, in my opinion. The third is set up nice, but apart from that, nothing to really look at.

I think you did post this before. The bokeh around the sunglasses looks really cool. Is it from dust?

How did you hurt yourself? Also, was that taken under a dock?

First one seems a little too cramped. Like, there's not enough of the iguana showing; he's a little too hidden imo. Second seems set up good, but you could've gotten the snake's face/head in the picture, and that would've made for a much better picture imo. Also, do these seem a little like they need a little contrast to anyone else?

It was taken under a boat house/dock yeah. I was trekking down some steep shit and had one stone to hop down to, not very high, not low either. The stone was wet and had moss so I fell off the rock instantly and sort of twisted my ankle. My camera fell with me and looked like it landed lens front with no lens cap on it so I was terrified. Luckily it went unscathed.
I guess you can say I really did take a whetstone to my lens for a sharper image.

Really cool. Were you inside a car or something, or is that glare just the light hitting the lens? It just looks like there's a little bit of a reflection in it.
zeiss lenses handle flare rather interestingly

what exactly is she holding? obviously a rifle, but is it real? or is it like airsoft or paintball? also, that is indeed a weird flare; never seen one that's gray before. cool shot, nonetheless.

It's this airgun. Taken it up as a side hobby with some mates. Theres a little 'modding' community around it, so one can do some cool upgrades. Practice/calibration gives us an excuse to go outside for fresh air deep in ~the cut~. Also provides peace-of-mind having SOME form of 'weapon' (equivalent to a .22lr at best) when you're out taking photos 20 miles from the nearest paved road. I never expect anything to ever happen really, but being alone out there with just one or two other people, you need something - anything, to ease the 'fear' of the wilderness. The desert mountains house some 'dangerously adapted' creatures. - All of this achieved without the hassle of obtaining a real firearm as an out-of-state uni student in California.
