im guessing you mean a regular lens with bellows or something like a lensbaby, i would imagine a real tilt shift lens is pretty hard to make

Eh, I call it a tilt-shift lens because it has that aesthetic, but, basically what I did was take a film camera lens and lens-whack with it.

Some alright images, your best was by far the fifth image, i think the guy in the foreground frames up the focus really well, so not the best images, however you show huge potential. Keep it up
[B]Little tip:[/B] try to not use the on camera flash because it really washes out the image.

I used the flash on purpose to get that party picca feel, would've been impossible to get a proper exposure and still life without a flash. Plus I'm a broke student so no speedlight for me.

Not a big fan of the "party picca feel", but thats just me.

Thanks. Never heard of Ezra, but I will research him. Was also inspired by our own desuh
can someone please explain how to brenizer method? i keep trying it but even though I set manual white balance to like 5000k for this example, the images dont have the same WB and then when stitching it doesnt stich together any of the bokeh around the subject unless there is something sharp in frame. and idk if this is normal but I photomerge in CS5 and there are white lines around each of the pieces it grafted together, are those not in the final photo and just showing the separate layers?
-nvm, flicker is fucking with my contrast-

Are you shooting in JPEG or RAW?
I would highly suggest using RAW so that the on-board processor doesn't fuck with your images.
The white lines are normal and will go away when the image is flattened or exported.
[editline]30th March 2014[/editline]
Also you do need something in frame that is sharp, or it will struggle to piece things together.

Both taken in kimchee Sushi restaurant in london
click the three dots when you open the image from your photostream, go to download/all sizes, view all sizes
pick your size, copy image URL and embed in [img] tags
ninja edit, keeping this because flickr's new layout is retarded anywho
still a pain in the fucking arse because you need to click 800 once you're in it, which is more clicks than going right > 800px > copy url

i was advised to shoot small JPEGs to save space on the camera/save time in post, i cant imagine how long it would take to merge 15 or 20 24MP raws when it takes like 30 minutes to do 15 6mp jpegs

Well that's where your problem is.
I don't see why it takes you that long.. Even so, you're just gonna have to deal with it. using JPEGS will just cause you problems.

i got a warning today while trying to photomerge that my "boot disk is near full" but i checked and had 60gb free but just to be safe I deleted like 10 gigs of stuff
my computer is really slow just from being full of so much shit that I have no idea how to get rid off since its all mostly hidden in some obscure folders
sorry for going off topic, back to pictures plz
i shoot them in raw then edit in lightroom so i get consistency, then export those as small jpg files and load those up into photoshop for merging.

Sounds like you need to defrag bro. You could always just use the RAW files and save them out as JPEGs. Saving as JPEG SOOC will ruin the consistency.

Cueball made me want to visit Cramond, and I live nearby so I walked down yesterday in the fog. I love bleak environments.

shoot RAW, if your computer can't cope with merging the full size images just edit them as a set to get the right (and consistent) colours first, then export as smaller JPEGs and merge those
merging is computationally (and memory) intensive, but just editing white balance and stuff is a lot less so, and not very time consuming if you do it on one image and copy the settings to the rest

Try [URL="http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/um/redmond/groups/ivm/ICE/"]Microsoft ICE[/URL], it's pretty fast and quite good although you don't have much, if any, control so it either goes well or it doesn't but at least it's free unlike PTGui, if you want something with more control you can try [URL="http://hugin.sourceforge.net/"]Hugin[/URL] which is a bit like a free PTGui as I believe they are based on the same software.
Hugin is much slower though.
Aside from what has already been said you could also have a problem with parallax distortion, if you are quite close to the subject and you rotate the camera not around the lens [URL="http://www.johnhpanos.com/epcalib.htm"]nodal point[/URL] you will have stuff that doesn't match from shot to shot because the perspective changed although I don't think this is much of a problem with most Brenizer shots but still worth checking, you obviously don't need a pano head or that much precision but still trying to rotate the camera in a more efficient way may help.
The central library in manchester just opened last week and its a really nice place for photo's
I didn't have my camera with me at the time but still managed to get a couple of half decent ones with my phone.
