i legitimately find portrait more fun to shoot in. i think it makes for neat composition

Some unsightly lens flare but I lack the willpower (and knowhow) to get rid of it.
I'm trying, but the weather has been horrendous lately, and there just isn't much too take pictures of here. I don't think I'll get as great opportunities to take pictures as the rest of you.
I still would love criticism though, even if you want to say they're absolute shit. I'd at least like to know why, poorly composed, colours, uninteresting, or anything. I'm not a professional, but I am relatively interested in any sort of photography.

Tried using a neutral density filter, it turned out ok, but I need to upgrade my tripod (which is a piece of crap), it was quite windy so it kept shaking, you can see the blur at the bottom of the photo. If anyone can recommend me a decent tripod, I'd appreciate it. I'd like to re-try this during the day so the ground is lit up more, but it's either been overcast or there's been no clouds whatsoever for a couple of weeks.

what aperture were you shooting at there? looks like normal lens blur in addition to motion blur
some lenses (e.g. canon 50 1.8) have pretty bad focus at infinity if you shoot wide open or near wide open

Whoops, only 4.5. I usually shoot in shutter priority and forget about the aperture setting, it can go up to 30. I just need to remember to set it to that next time.

also tip for the new flickr, adding _c before the .jpg on the end of the url of the image will resize it to 800 longest side, each letter is a different size, _a _b _c etc

sorry everyone else but you are seriously one of my main inspirations and one of my favorite, if not my number one fav photographer
this 365 challenge is really broadening where to look for good shots when I can't go anywhere.

man I need to step up and stop settling for photos that are just "ok" and instead I wont come home until im truly happy with the stuff ive taken, I rush too much and I cant express how inspiring some of you guys are. it pushes me to advance as a photographer.
