wasn't sure about the gold version as a standalone photograph
i think it's nice as a diptych
great shout ! I really like the blue one better, I made it gold to work on some other art style and I thought they might look cool next to eachother
reminds me of the variations tool thing in photoshop
the photo on the right looks like how video games portray like 2040. petals look like glass, i love it.

Personally I think that the second picture doesn't really work. The blossoms covering the car is a nice motive. I like the reflection of the blossoms but the reflexion in the window is distracting and make the blossoms less visible.

The color swap in the first picture feels random.
Genius in the second one. Didn't even think it was one until I switched the channels in photoshop.
The third one is well done too. Makes it look out of this world with the orange sky.
I wish you would post more.

I see people including people walking in their picture too often. I don't think that the passerby adds anything.

Nice geometry.
2, 3, and 4 are so nice
would've loved to see the shadows of the branches cast along the wall behind them though. (in 4 that is)
BTW, is it a must to edit photos? What do you guys think of those 'purist' who can't standing photoshopping?
I see people including people walking in their picture too often. I don't think that the passerby adds anything.

Actually she does, because the light of the reflection lights up her face and upper half of her body. It also adds something more organic to the picture, apart from the flowers/plants, making it more interesting. A focal point.
BTW, is it a must to edit photos? What do you guys think of those 'purist' who can't standing photoshopping?
editing is half the battle. sometimes you come out with a great photo (at least a few pictures in my portfolio are vanilla from the camera), but more often than not it will take some post processing to get the most out of your photo. editing is extremely important, and an absolute must to be competitive in the photo world (those who get by without it are extreme outliers).
BTW, is it a must to edit photos? What do you guys think of those 'purist' who can't standing photoshopping?
Depends what you mean with editing. Color correction? Changing exposure? Correcting perspective? Removing distracting objects? Cropping?
There is no need to if you are happy with how the picture looks unedited. But a truly unedited, pure, picture doesn't really exist. Your camera does quite a lot processing even if you shoot raw. If you shoot film each film has his own character. The way to get the purest picture would be to use a color checker when taking the picture.
Cropping and fixing perspective is okay in my opinion because you don't always have a zoom or tilt and shift lens with you.
Removing and adding things depends on your vision as a photographer and your intention. I think both is okay as long as you don't hide it and are consistent.

welcome to the forum
Another Ernst Haas inspired photo. I just noticed there was some dirt on the lens when I took it, kind of ruins it a bit.

It's not dirt on your lens, it is dirt on your sensor. Get a rocket air blower and give it a few puffs while in cleaning mode
wildlife stuff, bit of a big dump, sorry
I set up bird feeders outside my bedroom window so I can poke my lens between the curtains and shoot from about 10 feet away without them really seeing me
here are my first attempts, was a pretty dark and rainy day with 100% cloud cover but I kinda like the soft lighting it provided

This is my favorite, I like how the background colors kinda go together/match the bird.
