Great photo. A very good presentation of society's way of forcing people to conform to a certain style of photography, you just say 'no', 'I don't need to focus!' and as such create a photograph worthy of museums.

brought a tripod this time, pics look a lil better. overall interesting experience, its like people have never seen a photographer at 2 am at night; had some interesting conversations with the very few people that were on the street at that time

for some reason the pictures are very jagged and even low(er) in quality, is this because of the camera (film, OM-23) or the scanner I'm using? I'm guessing the latter, but i just want to be sure.
also how can I improve on my images? things to look out for? ive only just started taking pictures
scan at a higher resolution and then scale down your images, the jagged lines come from a lack of anti-aliasing on the the scanner (preserves fine details at cost of smooth lines)
you're doing well if you've only just started, the 1st and 3rd are the best ones there because they have a clear subject and the composition is set so that you are drawn to it

as I have no idea how it works to scan negatives with a regular scanner. i scanned it at the maximum resolution (10M) and it was still very grainy and jaggy

yeah that scanner is probably your undoing. i have a similar one of those myself, and it really just isn't there with the image quality. it's more for scanning stuff quickly for slideshows, but not like a dedicated scanner.
Here is one with that type of scanner, vs the same shot scanned in an Epson v500 (and I was not very good at scanning back then, if I rescanned I could get even better results)

This one comes a few times a day looking for cat food scraps and he's not too afraid of people
I haven't really made an effort to get good shots of him yet, that one was just a snap through a window
Ah, right.
Still, it's rare to see many decent snaps of British foxes since they usually run away at the slightest hint of a person nearby.
