there's an art show at school coming up and I think I might enter a couple photos. Any criticisms before I print them? Which ones are the best?

don't be unhappy with your work, and especially don't get discouraged. everyone has to start somewhere, and you are doing well for where you are at.
if you feel like you aren't happy with your output, try and emulate photos that you do like and become happy with what you are doing.

It's strange. I always have trouble picking which photo is good and which not. Some suggest to wait before selecting, Garry Winogrand went even as far as waiting a year before looking at the pictures he took. Yet when I go through old shots I seem to be less selective and take a liking to shots I didn't bother post in the first place.

today i have learned that f0.9 is not as bright as it seems (the f number after being reduced by my focal thing). we live in a dark world

I turned my photos into the final exhibition today. Three entries per person, and a professor assigned that we all turn in one piece (from the class, my photos dont count) I got to enter two photos. I had heard that they required that you put wire on the back of the pieces, and my art piece had that, but my two photos didnt. They were just printed, matted, and wrapped in plastic, with the label taped to back under the plastic.
I walked by the gallery when I was leaving my class at 10:00 and I saw my painting, but not my photos. Its likely they just refused to mount them, but maybe they had a different section for the photos, because I didnt see ANY photos and theres a few students that are said to usually enter photos in the shows.
But I talked to a friend that was in both of the photos, and he said he'd buy them to put up in his shop.
