I guess it just goes to show how bad I am at Lightroom :suicide:

I don't think this is fixable in Lightroom. The picture will probably lose its magic after this, but oh well:
To make this, I redrew the entire left side of the picture using solid shapes. Then I applied gradients, dodged and burned and then applied film grain to match the rest of the picture.
dr hoofed i think u have worn the thingy of using a smudgy bad camera past its due i think u had some nice ones earlier on but now idgi anymore
nobody can (and should) stop anyone from posting pictures here but the fact he never even responds to questions or remarks about his photos kinda makes it obvious he's just takin the piss which is indeed getting a bit stale

I finally finished finals and so now my summer break officially began this morning

Going through your own photos retrospectively is fun cause its like editing someone elses photos.
Time erases all those emotions you held before hitting the shutter and you get to be more critical whilst editing.

I was going to say. He just dumps them and leaves until the next photo dump, and they all getting monotonous.

I was interested at first because I thought the consistency of them would lead to something interesting like Desuh's work did. But their has been no improvement or anything. I don't even look at them anymore, I just brush over the posts.
But why doesn't he even participate in discussion. This isn't just a photo dump, it's a bloody community.

Why would anyone participate in a community where they are called out every other page?
I've not seen him called out until now.

Even cloudy days can be pretty :)
Why would anyone participate in a community where they are called out every other page?
like r_p said this is pretty much the first time
and besides, you're bound to get called out in a community if your work greatly deviates from the others without once providing an explanation or reason why, or even responding to the simplest questions
[editline]17th May 2014[/editline]
participating in a community is a two way deal
Dr. Hooves is going to be reluctant to participate in a community discussion when the criticism he gets is a dismissive "get a better camera".
The lack of critical understanding toward something so innocent is disappointing. He's doing something very interesting if the work challenges the status quo so sharply that it has become offensive.
Dr. Hooves: don't stop creating. Thank you for sharing your work thus far - you don't owe anyone an explanation.
I'd hate to see you go.
I don't think that's really fair to what anyone is saying, nobody is telling him to get a fuck off and get better camera, people are telling him that they don't understand his work and the way he presents it
nobody find's his work offensive to their creative sensibilities, people are curious as to why he is taking those photos, in the way he is and what he wants to communicate with them
sure, he doesn't owe anyone an explanation, but we don't owe him any understanding or unquestioning silence
Do you know how hard it is to focus, frame and shoot from the hip while cycling?

Terrific, I like how you managed to not cut anything off from the biker and bike in front and also the shirt has a similar color to the blob on the bottom right. (maybe a lock?)
Also nice colors in general.
sure, he doesn't owe anyone an explanation, but we don't owe him any understanding or unquestioning silence
But we do owe him an understanding. He's chosen to share his art with us. In return, the least we can do is give it a respectful chance.
His story or 'explanation' is unfolding, just a bit slowly. An example being that just the other day we learned that his age is very unique to our community.
It takes time to learn an artist's point of view. Don't rush it.
Personally, I'm enjoying his 'character development' in this community, it's refreshing.
