I really like this one, but at the same time I just despise how blurry the image gets towards the right.

i'd recommend losing the fake bokeh thing, it's just distracting in a bad way. the second image shows promise, i just think you need to edit it a little bit differently. it's quite gray, you should edit it to have more white tones. just a bit flat right now, with more contrast i think it would look a bit more dynamic

also if you think your photos are mediocre, why post them? not in like an insulting way, but if you aren't happy with what you are doing focus on taking photos that you like. every shot won't be spectacular, no matter how good of a photographer you might be.

I quite literally take about 1500-3000 shots every single week and I'm happy enough with maybe one or two of them a week to post on flickr, sometimes none

If you're looking at photographers that you like and are feeling a bit down thinking "Man why can I never take photos like them" etc, you've gotta remember that there are also hundreds of images they took which they didn't like at all, maybe even hated

Its always possible An old woman gave the local photo lab a bag of expired film and the photo lab gave a couple rolls to me. So, for all i know it might be.

the film expired in 1988 and then it was cross-processed.
